That basically sums up how I feel with any ultra high-level practitioner... I haven't rolled in a few years now due to a shoulder that can't stay in the socket for more than a few minutes, and me putting off surgery over and over again... maybe when I get it fixed I can get back on the mats.

Ran the codes for a SES light on my 2010 E91 x-Drive. Oxygen sensors (002C39 and 002C3A, upstream) and transmission fluid (00578E - Transmission Fluid deteriorate). Car has 131K miles and I bought it at 119K. I should have done the transmission fluid and filter before this. Anyway, ordered the transmission kit and sensors from FCP Euro and will tackle it next week. Never done either job before but don't look too difficult (famous last words!).

Funny side story: The first wife and I were arguing. After listening to her say the same thing over and over again, for as long as I could take it. I finally said, "Can we get to the part of the argument where you get so mad you just stop talking?" That got us to that part instantly....and it worked. |

Dropped off my ride at 7:30AM at the dealer for the blow motor recall. Now waiting for the call when it's done.

Finally ordered mirror caps with my credit @ ECS
Just need to paint the mirrors and the trim gloss black and at least my car will be "Put together". I feel like mirror parts are going to break taking them off and putting them back on all the time. Still trying to figure out what to do with my kidney grills. The body matched did not turn out well with this color. It looked great on my other BMW's. I may go gloss black (Which I usually hate). |

I keep telling myself cars are better than a drug habit or a bunch of children with different mothers.

I just installed some 1M Side mirrors on my White 128i. Bought them off of a member and they were in excellent condition. My only issue is that he put some fairly high priced Carbon Fiber covers on them...and I'm not sure if I like them..or want to go back with Alpine White covers. But he did tell me that the covers were a bear to remove, and I would hate to destroy the CF ones in the process. Any tips on pulling them safely?

If they are the "Real" clip on covers, they simply pull off from the front. I used just my hands a a little bit of pressure. A trim tool can come in handy if they are really on there good. If they are the stick on ones, I would suggest a heat gun. My mirrors are not 100% M3 because I do not have the base. I do not mind, because I am less than $200 into them. If they are the actual covers, I might be interested in them! |
