2011 BMW 335is 6MT Space Grey, I run Bridgestone Blizzak lm-25 rft 225/45r17 on Motegi Racing mr118 17x8 square and am very happy with it in South Dakota winters.
Looks pretty sharp too. |

I LOVED my pirelli sottozero 3's in the snow on my stage 2 rwd 335i. if the snows were semi maintained, I could make it anywhere. If there was more than 4" of fresh snow on the ground, a rwd car with 3" of clearance just wont get super far.
I got a set of Hakkepelita R3 SUV's for my X5 that I have now. I can't wait for the next snow storm so I can throw them on. I expect I'd be able to get through 2-3 feet of snow without much issue, honestly. The X5 is great in teh snow even just on my defender all seasons. I used blizzaks on my 05 TL, and really liked them. I wasnt aware at the time that the second half of the tread is just normal all season rubber, and that's what pushed me to go for the hakka's this time. I didnt want to waste 50% of my money on a tire that wasnt a snow tire. |
