e92 335i build

This is my first post so I've probably done everything wrong so feel free to tell me how to do it correctly. Thought it might be useful to post the few bits I'm doing to my e92 335i as I have struggled to find much information on what I've done so far. Have only recently purchased and spec is as follows: 09 pre lci 335i n54 dct <50k miles just, almost every option apart from sunroof but I wasnt after that anyway so very happy with it!

So far I have done the following:
MTEC LED bulbs
New gel plates
M performance grills
Car matts with M-Stitching from Bavaria
Re-wired the paddles so they work how they should from factory

Later this week I will have fitted:
M performance diffuser in gloss black
4" black chrome tips
M performance backbox mod (muffler delete)
New M performance steering wheel, flat bottom, black alcantara, M stitching, Blue loop at 12 o'clock
Maybe MHD stage 1 although I haven't fully convinced myself yet

Anyway please let me know if you own something similar as unsure where I want to go with it.... Cheers!

Hiya mate. Looking nice and clean that.

I’ve got a 57 plate 335i E92 m-sport in SGM too.

I would absolutely suggest LCI tail lights next.
Makes the rear look much better.

I’ll have to post up some pics of mine.

Hi Mate

Lovely car, esp with a dct which is rare! How have you found the MTEC led bulbs, do they keep the outer rings lit aswell or noticeably dimmer?

Also, a ducktail spoiler would look pretty sweet

Yeah I am considering getting the lci lights but I quite like the look of the non lci ones, I'll have to see how it looks when all the new bits are on

I forgot to mention in the original post but I have a spoiler waiting to be fitted as well! I've been really happy with the MTEC bulbs, the outer rings are noticeably dimmer but I don't think the extra £70 would be justified for lux 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Very nice, I also have a 09 DCT 335i.

May I suggest a rear boot lip. Sets it off nicely.

Id love some LCI rear lights, but not for over 300quid lol

Looks nice mate, I have a spoiler being fitted next week although its the competition style. Ill post pics when done. LCI lights are nice but I do like the 3 horizontal strips on the pre-lci !

Steering wheel looks fantastic!

Did you buy it directly from Royal? I noticed they do a swap/exchange service only? Also how much did it set you back if you don't mind sharing. Thanks

Pretty tidy! I like that gloss black rear diffuser. Can you share the brand/where you got it?

Yeah I ordered the new one and then sent them mine once the new one had arrived, think it was around £230 in the end... not bad at all. They do take a £150 deposit until they receive your old one back

It's M performance so made by BMW, think I got it from BMW Coventry through eBay? They're fairly easy to find however expensive if no one has stock

You are absolutely right it looks shite!...however it can't be wrapped to a decent standard because of the texture👎🏼 I may buy the carbon leather trim from the m3 but waiting until I know exactly what I want to do with it.

It doesn't look quite as bad in person but I am 20 YO so the old man spec does offend me quite a lot

The texture obviously is not the best surface to wrap on but half decent wrap and plenty of "hairdryer" will do it, I did mine with matte carbon and barring the smaller vent, its held really well over nearly 2 years.

The door trims and centre console are easy but the dash trims and the ashtray lid are a bit more tricky, but doable..... Again plenty of warm air and taking your time!

Nice work so far mate.
Rear diffuser and 4” tips really does toughen the arse end up nicely. I did the same.
Look forward to seeing pics once boot spoiler is added. I haven’t fitted one yet as I’m not sure it looks better with or without.

That steering wheel is class. May have to seriously consider one of those.

I’ve got Arkham style front splitter and side skirt extensions in my shed waiting to fit. Just worried it may be too much for the look I’m going for.

You can buy trim already wrapped from M-tec dynamics, hes in Sheffield, check his website out or on facebook. Had mine done by him.

You can send your trim to him and he'll send you what you want.

Congrats on the purchase and liking the mods so far.

A nice high kick spoiler would look good and agree the interior trim needs doing however a nice black (or fox red) M3 interior would look superb and then the silver hex trim wouldn’t look too bad then.

100% LCI rear tail lights though.

Spoiler fitted, needs a good polish but happy with final look. Probably order some black 335i badges or just debadge it....👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Nice. Helps the rear end and looks more complete. I'd de-badge it personally as always like the cleaner look.
