CCC replacement. Dual CD player to Single?

Hey there guys, I have a dead CCC unit that has white flashing reboot screen of death and was wondering if it would be possible to replace my unit, which has TWO CD slots, with a CCC unit that has only ONE?

I have a 330i (HiFi) with PDC rear but no comfort access, if this matters at all.

CCC units only have 2 drives; 1 for CD and one for the DVD navigation disk.

You can however replace it with the later CIC unit which has 1 drive (has a hard drive for navigation)
