I'm going to see if my insurance covers me.
I also need to check that I am officially a novice. I've never done a track day in my own car, but I have been to the palmersport day three times. Helmet hire is £10 by the way. I have a big head so I need an XL |

Cost?
Where? When? When is confirmation needed? Is it purely a BMW day or just a normal trackday? Information needed I could be well up for this depending. If it's a PH'ers day I will certainly be attending Though will also need to run the MG for a couple of weeks before I confirm just to make sure everything is right! May know someone else who is interested too!! So information please Sure it's been posted before but I can't be bothered to look through 7 pages

This may help anyone wanting to stay at a Travelodge -
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...html?t=1047769 Need to book 21 days in advance though, so need to get your helmets in gear. |

The best deal I could find is at Cambridge Swavesey (http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_a...hp?hotel_id=20) which is £29 per night on 28th and 29th August, so £58 if we stay the Thursday night before the track day and the Friday before UK6 |

The logic is that Travelodge are better of having these rooms full at a low price than empty. They operate with a very high occupancy, so they won't discount rooms that they can fill (i.e. any rooms in a decent location Tues - Sat nights). The £19 deals are for the 5% or so of rooms that might otherwise stand empty. If you are going to stay near Cambridge, you'd be better of paying extra and going to Cambridge Central. There is absolutely f*ck all to do at Swavesey, but at Central you can walk straight into town. |

NFS - i suggest you/Carlos dont tell them you've done any track days - that way you go in as a novice and hopefully we get the numbers up to ten, get a garage/s and the 10% discount etc!
Paul - i know Baris from Evo (red e46 m3) - he is a friend of mine - he text me last night and said he did Snetterton last week - so he may not be up for doing another one so soon?? Worth Carlos asking him though if he has his number. Also, Baris knows a lot of guys with m3's etc and some of them may well be up for this too. Carlos - ive got quite a few helmets now - my latest and favourite is a Shoei X-Spirit Norick Abe race rep - but ive got a couple of Arai RX-7 Corsairs which are awsome lids - the one im lending Paul if it fits is an Arai Cathcart rep.

NFS is right, swavesey travelodge is not that nice. The one in town is newer, has a safe car park and only was built 2 odd years ago.
close to town for few bevvies too!! Bailey, ive only done one trackday ever.

Swaveney is only £58 for 2 nights! Cambridge Central is £140 for two nights!!
Staying at Swaveney does not stop us driving into Cambridge or and driving somewhere else to meet for a meal and a few bevvies... |
