My opinion is absolutely. Oil vapor will continue to condense in your pipes and engine and only cause more problems as you accumulate more miles.

Yes. I put mine in yesterday at 12,500 miles (3years). When I disconnected the stock tune it was lined with lots of oil!.

Has anyone had any warranty / detection code / CEL issues with a OCC? Or is this one of those things you should remove before taking it to the stealer?

I apologize for any newbiness I might exude.

So to drain out the oil, just unscrew the bracket and the drain plug and just tip the OCC on it's side until all the oil has drained?

Oh, and what's a 10 push lock hose?( or whatever they call it)

TIA

If I remember correctly from the install yesterday it's a 5/8" hose. Maybe it's called a 10 for 10/16", not sure. Push lock I guess means you just push the hose on.

So what is that missing part that didn't get included with your kit?

If I order it within the next two weeks will that clamp come with my kit?

TIA

Picture number 6 in Former_boosted's review on page 1. They just told me yesterday that they are finalizing the update. If you, like me, order from a dealer (**********s), they probably have the kit without the updated piece at this point.

I don't mind having to go back, remove the cowl, and engine cover to replace the part, so I can get a good chance to make sure everything still looks good back there.

I didnt get that clip either and sure enough when I was putting the engine cover back on it popped right off. I stuck it back on but it doesnt take much force it to pop. It should just be air technically but I've emailed BSH for the revised fitting.

Yep. There is really nothing holding it. I just wrapped it with electrical tape until I get the part.

Sorry if it's in the thread...I admit I didn't read it yet. Could you provide a link in the original post with the web address where you bought the OCC? Thank you sir and pics seem awesomely detailed!

What happened if the catch can leaks, while it sitting just above the turbos?
Is it any possibility to catch fire?
I have 28000km and thinking seriously to get one.

Yeah on OCC was one of my first mods, there is no way I wanted oil in my intercooler. But I have the rr right now, but might upgrade to this.

Exactly. I will probably take off the bracket to give more room when draining it, but thats it.

BSH should be able to ship the part out to you ASAP. Anyone that doesn't have the clip should just email BSH and you should have the part shortly as it appears.

There are a ton of vendors on here selling it on the forums in the group buy section. Just choose you favorite.

The turbos are really recessed and it would be almost impossible for oil to find its way onto the turbos. The Riss Cans leaked after about 6 months for a lot of people, but I have never heard of any fire.

The thing is this is OCC is a one piece welded can, so that is why this is a good choice.
