My First Photoshoot

So this is my first car shoot... ever really.

And the first shoot of my car pretty excited about it and had a good time, I'm by no means a professional so any friendly critiques or advice is welcome

My build thread is here:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=22346789

and sadly, the car is also now for sale due to my changing life plans to explore the world:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...4#post22703144

The images look a little low resolution here? i'm not sure if posted them correctly, but they link to the full size which looks leagues better.

Agree. One or two dark ones are not bad, but yours are all dark. Get a tripod, open the aperture or even the shutter some. Lightening up the pics will give new details.

Pics popping the halos are really hard to do...many overlap two photos to get the proper effect.

Really nice ride!

Thanks all!

Agree the photos are pretty dark, didn't have a tripod and it was all I had to work with.

On the dark side (tee hee), these photos were taken just before I had to sell the car.

On the bright side, I now drive a 535i F10

Negative space is a thing in photography. Most of these photos illustrate negative space quite well.

The halos are hard to photograph without HDR or stacking.

If you *don't* want darker images, just bump your ISO and open the aperture. Most cameras are pretty good at relatively high ISO now.

Good job. Love the matte finish.

Thanks ! I've shot a good bit with people, or some nature, but never cars. The location lighting was pretty dark, and I didn't have a tripod so I was really going for dark photos here. Aperture was all the way open and ISO was as high as I could without some grain.. If I were to do it again, I would definitely do a day/dusk shoot and a different location.

I sold the car when I moved from Canada . I have a white F10 535i now. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it. If you want a similar color, it's plasti dip - matte anthracite gray, and then waxed to give it a layer of light shine.
