H&R 10mm Spacers + VMR V713 rims = No Bueno
Just tried fitting 10mm H&R spacers on my VMR V713's and the 45 degree centering cones on the spacers weren't compatible with the rims. When the spacers and rims were on, there was a paper thin gap between the rim and spacer walls. Damn... what a hassle. Hopefully the shop will give me a refund for the spacers.

Having a 10mm spacer is definitely a challenge for wheel vendors and spacers manufacturers alike. In fact anything between 8 and 13 is tough, because you are making a hubcentric spacer that has the same thickness as a hub. When wheels are machined with a high hub taper, stability and strength is sometimes compromised. I've also had a few factory wheels that were not compatible with H&R 10-12mm's.
We do have a couple of vendors who make compatible spacers for our wheels. If you are interested, let me know and I'll see if they can offer some sort of a deal for you |

Update: Was able to swap the 10mm's for H&R 12mm's, which do not have the 45 degree centering cone. I was a little worried 12 might be too much, but I'm glad that I got them. The front rims are now sitting flush, but not rubbing.

BTW, fronts are 35+ offset, so with the 12mm they are 23+ now. |
