P00BD CODE?

Did anyone else have this Code? (P00BD)

If so, did you end up changing the MAF??

I want to know before I purchase this part.

The following info was associated with this code:

Code P00BD indicates that the Mass Air Flow sensor 'A' electrical circuit was out of range or had an air flow too high performance problem for a predetermined period of time.

My apologies if this has been an issue or problem beaten to death here but I appreciate the responses (even if negative) before I make a move.

Thanks

I would check your intake, charge pipe, and sensor connections.

I'm not mechanically savvy enough to answer that, maybe one of these guys who work on these cars religiously can.

As far as I know or can explain with my limited mechanical knowledge is that the Fuel Trim is being monitored on Bank 1 and gets displayed on the Scan Tool and fuel trim values mean the engine computer is subtracting fuel.

As far as I can tell or at least from looking at it, so it will display the numbers as a negative when that happens.

Someone else here that is more mechanically savvy than I can ever hope or dream to be can explain this far better.
