These would be specifically for those with 2011+ LCI and want M3 DCT Paddles.

If you want to do it yourself, bill-of-materials would include:
2x 61138377072
2x 61136931929
4x 61130005197
4x 61130005198
6.2Kohm resistor
0.3Kohm resistor
4.99Kohm resistor
1.18Kohm resistor
heatshrink

I may write up a DIY if I do it and I could also build up a couple sets for $50 shipped (parts alone cost about $25 for a set).

Anyone interested?
I'd like to see this writeup! I think there would be plenty of people interested in the harness.
First set of harnesses complete! Works flawlessly! Very clean, no modification to M3 DCT Paddles. Plug and play.

Pics up soon. DIY too.

That is awesome and a great price. Makes for a smooth, quick and simple paddle swap.

Good luck with your sales!

So I finally received my trim that I sent out to be CF wrapped. The extended paddles came out great.

I had to pull off the first CF steering wheel trim as it was too bright.

Attachment 1010274

Then I got these to finish up my paddle exchange. And it all works perfectly.

Attachment 1010275

Attachment 1010276

For anyone that wants to see more of the CF install, click on my user id and go to my profile page and open the album.

For those who might wanna try this in the future.
I can confirm my dct paddles are working with these on my lci.
Crappy soldering but you get the idea.

BOM:

2x 61138377072
2x 61136931929
4x 61130005197
4x 61130005198

6.2K ohm resistor
348 ohm resistor (0.3KΩ is incorrect. 348Ω is the correct value)
4.99K ohm resistor
1.18K ohm resistor

heatshrink

Thanks to remlemasi.

2008 335i M Steering Wheel w/paddles not working

Hey Guys,

Thanks for this write up. Great info here and I think this thread is the right one to answer my problem.

I traded my 330 that had a M steering wheel without paddles in for a 2008 335i which had the standard non-M steering wheel with paddles. During the test drive the paddles worked fine. However I wanted to keep my M wheel without paddles over the standard wheel with paddles. So I do not have the original steering wheel to remove the paddles or check the wiring.

Later, I found another M steering wheel from a wrecking garage with paddles. I have installed them in my 335 and they do not work. They are the SMG paddles as far as I know with 3 black wires coming from the MF buttons. See pictures.

So reading this thread, can someone please shed some light for me. Is it as simple as changing the pin 2 and pin 1 wires?
