Forgive me if I'm missing something, but if you really want the car, why not just fly to germany buy it, then have it delivered to Norway or Denmark?

Because you missed something.... as soon as the car is to be registered back in Norway or Denmark.. or Holland ( ) , which you must, you have to pay the tax, unless you happen to be a resident (for tax purposes) of Germany and have bought the car six months prior to returning to Norway, Denmark etc...

In Holland it's steep also - we pay : consumer price = base price + factory options + luxury car tax [bpm] (42% of base + factory options) + dealer accessories + delivery costs (900 Euro) + sales tax [btw] (19% of base + options + bpm + dealer accessories + delivery].

And then every quarter we pay road tax (based upon the weight of the car).

he he.. well thats one way to look at it.. another is to say that it goes toward paying for the incredibly high standard of living and social benefits one enjoys in these countries.

Well I know that, however you don't think thats a little excessive? All of those different taxes and fines, it would turn me off to any car and I'd ride a bike everywhere!

Well.. yeah.. I personally wish it was more like Belgium, UK or Germany in that regard... I'm not a real fan of the Government doing everything and needing to get paid for it... but that's another story.

Costs are high!

Man o Man! Europeans really must pay a lot for the luxury things like cars and gas prices that go along with them. At $6 a gallon, gas is pretty steep but more than 60% of that is taxes to offset the cost of social benefits, health care, road upkeep, etc.!

Is there any E90/325i owners that will buy a 335i next time?

I haven´t tested any yet.I dare that I will not find my 325i so fun anylonger. So I ask you about 335.Is there better growl in 335? You know the sound. It is too early to trade in mine. It´s going to be a 330 or 335 in 2009. I think the 325 is lacking in power.Have to rev it but that is always great everytime

/Tom
