Good to hear you survived the stroke and will be making a full recovery, MKSixer. My mother had a heart attack and then a stroke a couple months later and it killed her at the young age of 49. Count your blessings and enjoy every day of your life.

Lucky your daughter reacted so quickly and the paramedics came within a few minutes. That can make all the difference. I have a daughter as well and we are very close. Would not want her to go through what I went through when my mom died. I'm sure you feel the same about your daughter.

MKSixer Glad you are recovering quickly and have decided to slow the pace a bit. My career life has become very hectic as well over the past couple of years to the point where I sometimes wonder if I will pay the price with my health. If we work ourselves to an early end, it will have been all for naught. Take care my friend, and stay in touch with your adoring BP family!

Great minds think alike! My DW and I bought five wooded acres on a lake in the SC midlands last year, where we will build our retirement Garage Mahal. We're still a few years away from starting construction, but we did have a ~300 foot temporary driveway cut in before Memorial Day this year going to the likely building site:

And for some reason all the doctors and staff were wishing my daughter good luck when we were leaving, like I'm hard to deal with. I'm very easy as long as I get my way!!

Damn! This is brilliant! You literally and figuratively paving the way! My plan is to purchase property next year and build the following year a pier is a necessity. And after 10 years of coveting thy neighbors boat, I will finally get one!!
