Business gift suggestion
We are sponsoring a breakfast at an executive conference in early '23. There will be about 50 attendees and the meeting is somewhere in Maryland (COLD). Yesterday I was asked if I was bringing a swag/gift item to go along with our breakfast sponsorship.
I'm looking for ideas in the $20-$40 range - something that you might have received at event and said, "holy shit - that's cool" .....and you think of that company each time you use it. |

Do you have a marketing department?
We used to host some industry meetings, and always provided gifts appropriate to our location/state. If you’re in TX and hosting in MD, that won’t work I guess. Think of a theme for the meeting or location and do something appropriate. Make sure your gifts can go on airplanes, ideally as carryon, or plan to provide shipping. |

My Aunt used to sell promo products for a big company locally and I have a few friends and family members in the marketing/branding space.
Tumblers - I think people actually use and appreciate a nice tumbler, regardless of size. Small can be for coffee, tall can be for morning smoothies or whatever. Wireless Charging Pad - practical and great for travel. Lots of options. Bag of gummy candies - almost everyone loves gummy bears/worms. Sense of humor, light hearted idea. Hope these at least give you some ideas. Amazon Gift Card - with the holidays coming up - everyone can use one - practical. Essential Oil - outside the box idea - practical, can be for relaxation or for alertness. Shows that you care about wellness. Polo Shirt or Parka - Never underestimate the power of a free polo or windbreaker. Maybe a few items that are outside the box novel and 1 or 2 traditional winners that are sort of standard. (Or just buy some nice pens, polos and tumblers) Last edited by floridaorange; 11-02-2022 at 12:35 PM.. |

I had a contract wind down in September for a major manufacturer based in Illinois. I went to their swag store and bought my wife a Yeti travel mug with the client's brand on it. Turns out she loves it so much she uses it multiple times per day. Score one for me.

I agree with floridaorange on most of those items. I think it depends on the company too. If it was a computer software company I wouldnt get them memory sticks b/c they likely have 9824 of them already.
Good tumbler with a cool logo is probably the fave as long as its not a lame non-insulated one. The good Tervis or Yeti seems to be hot items. Maybe you can get 5 or 6 different sayings on them: -You rock -Thanks for being you -There's no team without you Then people can swap them too if they dont like their saying.... We do some cool pens with stylus on them so you can use them on your phone or ipad. I also take them to the local restaurants b/c the staff loves them for the POS screens and then if customer steal the pen, its free advertising. Golf balls with logos on them and another swag for those that dont golf Here's a site we have used in the past https://www.kooziegroup.com/US |

Dildos / fleshlights and let them choose which one - I guarantee they won't forget your company name and you might learn something interesting about the attendees... lol

In addition to the wireless charging pads, a power bank is always good. Stainless steel water bottles are great too. Executives seem to love wearing vests, so a nice fleece vest would likely make it in their winter wardrobes.
Of course, get these branded! |

Of swag I got.
I use my wireless charging bank the most when traveling for business, most everything else gets thrown out. I had a nice small travel mouse decades ago that I liked carrying with me and used with my laptop when I was at a desk/conference table. But laptop touch pads have gotten a lot better. The only other swag I've used a lot is my Yeti mug.

I'd second the suggestion for a GOOD travel mug, or something else useful - for me it has been small LED flashlights, pen knife, insulated lunchbag, desk tools (mini screwdrivers, sewing kit, etc).
Stuff like frisbees and pens are probably going to be such generic crap that it almost makes you look worse; printed/branded clothing will most likely either get tossed, forgotten, or used during dirty jobs (unless your company is so cool that people will buy your branded stuff off a rack). I'd love a BMW shirt, but a Chase Bank? |

Appreciate the input - since it's a breakfast sponsorship - based on the suggestions I'm going to go with a YETI type coffee mug. To 1-up things, since I will know the attendees at the event, I'll have their names engraved on each. I'll have them waiting for them as they enter the coffee line -

A nice daily planner or nicely bound small size note book would be my #1 choice.
https://www.papier.com/us/le-moderne-36587 I also like enamel pins. They're small and I like collecting them. |

I use pens, notebooks and coffee mugs. All else is either left at the event or tossed in the trash in the airport or at home when I find it in my luggage. I have been to many business events. I don't perform billboard services for others by wearing logo apparel.
Recommendation: a logo pen and nice notebook with your company's name embossed on the cover, and a logo coffee (tea) mug. |

Of everything I have gotten, my favorite has been a nice North Face winter hat, knit car, toboggan, whatever you call it. It was clutch. I have more yetis and fake yetis than I care to deal with at this point.

Don't know if they could be monogrammed, but for unique/business protection, check out a 3-set of Alpha Gripz.
Not a non-attorney spokesman, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
