As someone who is guilty of leaving their fake tree and lights up well into March, I dont feel like I'm in a position to tell you its too early. LOL.

It admittedly annoys me when the stores start changing over to Xmas in October. But that's because I'm being marketed to. People putting lights and trees up to spread joy, well who can argue with that? I say go for it!

NOTHING TILL AFTER THANKSGIVING!!!!

I hate Christmas anymore. By the time Thanksgiving gets here I am so sick of hearing it I just want it to be over with. I used to love that time between thanksgiving and Christmas, but now I am just over it. Getting off most social media has helped for sure, but walking thru stores in Sept with Christmas stuff out just makes my blood boil.

Christmas Rocks! A time where more of us put what really matters first! Great memories with family and fun, celebrating the start of a new year and if you believe in God , how much God loves you, celebrating our Savior's birth.

I've been listening to Celtic Christmas Music in the morning ever since the temp dropped below 80, and buying various holiday scents for the house. I'll wait on the tree though because they die and drop way too many needles but different types of trees are available in different regions.

Also - Thanksgiving is wonderful, my favorite holiday right there with Christmas. This year my focus is on blessing others and letting them know how grateful I am for them in my life.

Thanksgiving in Canada was October 10th this year.....my rule is nothing until December 1st and then it all comes down New Years day or if I get into the rum then January 2nd.....or 3rd if I went really deep.

I was walking the dog last night and thinking everyone is probably judging me for still having all my Halloween lights going on Nov 1st.

For me, Christmas lights are right around Thanksgiving....but its also weird hanging lights in 90 degree weather. Its much better than 25 degree weather but weird none the less.

I'm not a xmas fan, however to me the house in NC feels like a xmas house. So we already put the tree up over there even though we are now in FL. I figure if/when we go back it will already be ready for xmas. In FL I would honestly skip the tree completely. However my girlfriend likes it so we typically put it up anyways last minute and then leave it until feb or later because taking that shit down is worse than putting it up.

So basically do whatever you want, don't care.

So Im not actually a huge xmas fan but I am pro the decorations, I love my tree and its colorful glow in my living room. Ive actually argued to take the christmas out of the christmas tree and make it a holiday/season tree. Mine is a high quality fake so I could leave it up year round.

Its prewired with LEDs that can operate a few colors, you could expand that a little too and add colors like pastels and or oranges and cover all possible season. Birthday tree, easter/spring tree, summer tree, fall tree. Just always have a glowing tree in your house.

I worked retail at a place called Galyans (long gone). They would play this pop-christmas shit on a loop and now I fucking DESPISE the whole genre. I can still fuck around with the classics but I can feel why other retail drones might feel different. Youre listening it when you roll into Saks, the people there are listening to it on a loop 8 hours at a time.

Doesnt help that 99% of christmas music is repetitive garbage.

Whatever stores do is too early! I started seeing Christmas crap in September.....that is ridiculous. As far as I am concerned we shouldn't see Christmas crap until after Thanksgiving. Not saying you can't shop early for gifts but all the decorations and music and all that junk needs to show up in December. My 2 cents

It's the aggressive commercialization of Christmas that I find disgusting, and it seems to begin earlier every year.

Other than that, put up your lights and listen to your Christmas music anytime you want.

As someone who doesn't celebrate Christmas... let me offer my perspective.

I appreciate the "spirit" of Christmas and the general festiveness and atmosphere - reminds me of the atmosphere back home during my holidays.

But I wouldn't want it to take away from Thanksgiving. So as a way to get over the hangover of Thanksgiving dinner, I'm all for Christmas activities beginning the week after Thanksgiving.

I dunno, but for me Thanksgiving without a xmas tree sucks. I mean unless you are one of those people who decorate hardcore for fall.... then MAYBE.

NEVER TOO EARLY!!!! I remember my old teacher counting the days/months when it was still February lol.

I get the disgust at the rampant commercialization but I just enjoy the moment and the spirit and atmosphere, even if ppl are 'faking' being nicer during this time of year, that's fine. It's all good and I just try to look at the +ives instead of dwelling on the other stuff.

I think people get too obsessive and carried away with Christmas.

With that said, December 1st is when Christmas stuff should start.

But it's always too early for Mariah Carey Christmas music.

I'm pretty into Christmas, but over a month before is a bit much in my opinion, especially when there is another major holiday in between.
