Injen Intake. Disappointed.

Am I the only one? I know I've heard of others upset with the fitment. It's rubbed off ALL of the paint on the inner hood brace and also where the filter hits the inside of the hood too.

It's been adjusted a few times and even bent in the inner frame of the hood. Still rubs.

Any ideas? I've contacted Injen but nada. Do I go back to stock intake?

I really don't want to spend another $400+ on the aFe.

I like the way the injen performs just upset on the fitment.

Thanks for letting me rant.

And dare I say... the car feels more "secure" across the powerband? Seems like it feels almost stronger going back to stock intake. Could be me... who knows.

Stock intake probably does make more power. Remember the n54 is mafless, our cars should be very careful with a MAF + bosch ECU

i think the bms will be more prone to heatsoak compared to the inken, you might as well just stay stock, ive seen no other complaints about the injen..

Stay stock and invest your money in usefull goodies

Those open filters just suck hot air from the engine... That means no good

Exactly. Purely for sound alone.
