I get one each year and have for many years. My employer has them come by and give them for free to anyone that wants one. I have never gotten sick much, but I have had the true flu a few times and it sucks ass. I am also on a lot of airplanes and trade shows during the height of flu season where not shaking hands and breathing everyone else's crud in is pretty difficult. We have a huge show in Jan and everyone plays the "who is going to get sick first" game - although it is usually just colds.

A few years ago MANY people in the industry came back from the show with the flu. I did not, but a few people I work with did.

It's free and I have never had any issues with it (it is a dead virus injected into you....) so why not. I have never been a tinfoil hat person anyway..........

Got mine almost a week ago. I usually feel great a few days after getting it, and this year is no different. I really do feel great.

I'm also now way more confident being around large groups of people this winter.

Man, that's rough. This is why I could never deal with people/customer service/dealing with large groups for a job. Give me a computer and I'll work wonders.

Most people simply don't take care of their basic hygiene like they should. Plain and simple.

For example, I'd say greater than 90% of the people I see in the bathroom in my office don't wash their hands properly. Maybe walk out without washing at all. Or 1-2 seconds of a fake wash and a splash of water and "done"...

Yeah it is true, but I am not much of a germaphobe. Everything we touch every day have something on it, so how can you avoid it? If you ea at a restaurant - you eat hair/skin/spit every time you do. I just don't stress over it. I wash my hand more at the shows and when I travel and rarely pass up a hand sanitizer, but that can only do so much.

I could be hit by a car tomorrow, so what is a few germs today. Gotta pay the bills you know.

Went and got a shot yesterday along with my 9-year old. I have gotten one for years as I think it does offer benefits as opposed to risking getting the on your ass in bed for days thing. I've gotten flu's but much more mild so for that I get the the shot.

If your flying or working in an officer, get a mask on amazon to wear if people around you are coughing and sneezing. Wash your hands.

The nurse at my job told me. Flu shots are not for all strands of the flu...Yes I get one every year but it's free at work,but she said thier are no guarantees.....

I'm curious as to how many of the 80,000 had the flu shot. Plenty of people got sick after getting the vaccine and some probably died.

I got one last week and I now have the aids and cancer

Someone ought to do a blind test vs placebo. If the placebo and vaccine are only 50 percent effective that would show no effect.
