I am having pretty much the exact same problem.

E90 328xi (2007)

-Replaced fuses 56 and 57 with 20A
-I can lock/unlock all doors with physical key in the door
-I can lock/unlock all doors with lock button on dash
-Key fob does not lock/unlock/open trunk/activate alarm
-Key fob DOES start car
-I sent the key fob into bmwgm5.com to see if it needed to be repaired/battery replaced but he said it was working properly.

Anyone have any ideas? I only have 1 key (I bought it used, he only had 1) and the previous owner has always had this problem.

I have a similar issue on my e91, but my physical key is also not working :/ central locking from the inside is ok, and the key does start the car.

Same here I have 2011 335i vert and the key fob does not do anything! I have too open doors with metal key, but car starts when fob is inserted in ignition slot.

may seem irrelevant but how old is your car battery?

Yeah I know, car may start fine but ECU sometimes cuts or reduce power to electronics in car to save power when battery is weak. Don't use voltmeter to test battery, do a load test.

E93 Key Fob

Okay so update is that my key fob does work only if I literally place the key on the rain sensor on the windshield (unlock /lock/trunk/CAS door handle , thinking maybe it could be the transmitters that maybe failed? Doing more research before I buy anything .

One sensor is under the center console, the other in the trunk. I have them both actually for sale

ICOM is not software, it's a physical hardware.

I will do my research on "Acdp".
