Firing on five, slight wobble and holding gears longer?

This last few mornings I've noticed on first start the engine sounds and feels (shake) like it's firing on one less cylinder

I've also noticed over the last few weeks a very slight surging especially when on cruise control, as if the engine is revving up and down in tiny amounts

Plus, fourth to fifth gear doesn't change as freely, and the gearbox doesn't feel 'right' somehow

I know this is a lot, but any ideas what could be causing these issues ??

I'm still getting this, and notice it more when I'm on cruise, like a slight hunting, sensation, a friend said he thought it might be an air leak, any suggestions at all?

Could this be a spark plug issue? Do Diesels have sparks?

I would have suggested a glowplug or 2 gone down for the wobble in the morning.

What you using to check for errors ?

I would wait if anyone from around that area can help out.

It is best to get the codes read before replacing anything, it may be a glowplug or may not and be the MAF sensor
