330i Remap & Mod Advise For N53 325I

Hi all,

Ive been looking at having a 330i remap done to my N53 325I, I know to get the most out of the map it is ideal to fit the Stage 3 inlet manifold but the N53 stage 3's are rare and after doing some research it looks like there is a lot of tuning companies getting 260+ BHP out of the remap alone by derestricting the throttle body.

If anybody has any experience doing this remap or has any pre mod recommendations to get the most out the map i would greatly appreciate any input?

Also if anybody knows any tuners near London UK that are capable of doing this map that would be great?

Many Thanks

The 3 stage intake will give you more low end torque but the majority of the power is from the derestricted throttle. You'd probably be better spending the money on a higher ratio diff than the manifold since the gearing is a bit tall for the extra power (although being able to join a motorway in first gear is great fun)

I'd be interested in hearing more about how the re-maps compare (with/without manifold).

Once I'm sorted with maintenance I'll be doing a remap, just don't know whether the disa valves are worth it?

Agreed, i doubt i will do the stage 3 unless i happed to see one for a bargain, the extra torque would be nice but not sure its worth the hassle.

Thanks for that info i hadn't thought about the diff ratios, il have a look into it.

Im also working on maintenance before i move forward with the map, just had new spark plugs and index 11 injectors

Remaining Maintenance
Coil packs
walnut blasting - possibly not needed

Modifications
K&N Air Filter
low resistance Intake Boot
Sports Exhaust Muffler
high ratio diff

Ive seen mixed reviews on de-cats as its not a major performance upgrade and apparently the engine needs a decent bit of back pressure and i feel a muffler delete will just be to loud but if anyone has any other mods or maintenance recommendations would be good to know.

I've fitted the 3 stage manifold to my 325 but having trouble finding someone to map it successfully. I've had awful results with tuners so far, a year ago I had it mapped without the manifold and got 250 at the flywheel however it caused ECU issues so I had to have it removed. Recently had it mapped by evolve with the 3 stage manifold and on a Dyno I'm producing stock power so I'm having to have that removed as well. Anyone know anyone who can successfully flash a 330 map or actually get the power out of these? Who were you thinking of?

Hi everyone,

I've been doing a bit of reading on remapping the N52 325i to get N53 330i performance but I haven't really seen any conclusive answers from anybody who has done it and seen the actual horsepower/torque go up.

I've been in contact with Dynomap who claim they can achieve 265hp/315nm from the Stage 1 remap.

Was wondering if anybody has had any experience with them or know of anyone who has done this remap sucessfully?

I've seen Mossleman mentioned a few times but on their site they
state aprox 250hp with Stage 1 remap for 570 EUR.

Most of the quotes for Stage 1 ECU Remap I've received have been around £200-250.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
