cheapest way of recieving a credit card payment as a business ?

as per title.

Took a payment from a customer for £1250 & paypal wated £42.50 !! Normally get a cheque where possible but they had a 12 month free interest free credit card so I had to find a way of taking payment.

Robin cnuts....

based on 1 maybe 2 payments a month up to a max of say 5 in the future if I can find reasonably priced alternative.
