Anyone know for sure if the Hotchkis sway bars will work on a 2006 325i, non-sport but with aftermarket coilovers?

http://www.hotchkis.net/bmw_e90_e92_...sway_bars.html

I know Hotchkis advertise as 2007/09 and 330/335's, but other kits I see advertise as if fitment is for all e90 sedans except XI as being the same.

Edit: Found Hothkis Application guide http://www.lpiracing.com/Store_Links..._App_Guide.pdf Going by part numbers, the one needed for a 2006 325i is a completely different part number and strangely even Hotchkisses own site does not list it, but some online stores do.

On real OEM, it looks like 13mm for 2009 e90 335i. It looks like all cars get the 13mm bar whether they have ZSP or not. There's no data for 2010 built cars on that site yet.

exactly... in the past there was only one Swaybar for all the suspensions. Could be they introduced something new with the 2010 model as they also changed the suspension itself. But from cost perspective I would not expect them to create an additional variant. We really need an update catalogue!

I've got the 14 mm rear sway with zsp springs and koni dampers. Hard to tell a difference w/the rear sway. I just had it installed at the same time as the m3 rear subframe bushings otherwise I wouldn't bother. If I could do it again, I'd have gone w/the 15mm. Depends mostly on if you're running a square or staggered wheelset

I understand what you are saying but my car feels extremely good on the track, and honestly, for having the ability to drive my family around comfortably and also be able to have the feeling as I do on the track, then I'm completely happy.

Sometimes, having the ultimate track car is not the most important thing for everyone.
After I installed the front M3 links, I had more of a problem with oversteer than understeer, and the oversteer problem was hardly anything.

For myself, I have acheived my ultimate setup for both daily driving and the track.

I have the following:

Sport springs
M sport rear bar (14mm)
BMW Performance Dampers
M3 strut links and wishbone links
M3 strut brace

I will never change my springs because I am happy with the ride height and the ride quality.

15mm rear sway

staggered

will upgrade the rear bushing and upper and lower bars to m3 (+m3 front control arms) so i was thinking 15 mm myself

also getting the bmw perf suspension that includes the front bar.

just revamping my whole suspension.

that gives me a 90/10 or so bias vs 93/7 stock.

What do you mean about pre installed?
I ask this because people that are ordering the ZSP package on newer cars are told that they have the M sport suspension. One would think that this is the BMW Performance Suspension since the BMW Performance Suspension really is the M Sport Suspension that was offered in Europe.

BUT, if you look at the part numbers on the struts/shocks, they are different.
On top of the part numbers being different, the ride quality is definitely stiffer than the regular sport.

Let's talk about the rear shocks since the front struts are the same when comparing the Sport suspension to the M sport suspension.
Sport suspension previously was Sachs shocks with part number 33526771729. They used this part up until June of 2008.
Sport Suspension is now called the M Sport Suspension and is part number 33526784978, which is made by Bilstein.

The BMW Performance Suspension part number for the rear shock is 33528036026.

To Sumarize:

Front

BMW Sport 31306771179, 31306771180
BMW M Sport 31306771179, 31306771180
BMW Performance 31318036553, 31318036554

Rear

BMW Sport 33526771729
BMW M Sport 33526784978
BMW Performance 33528036026

BTW, I still don't get the 45 pound thing.
Sorry for the thread resurrection but found this post when searching for part numbers. I just received the performance suspension package v1 (minus springs) and was comparing the rears. My car is M-sport but when I search the part number for the original shock it shows as the sport and not m-sport. Its a euro version.

Im confused because from what I read i thought the euro model m-sport has the performance package as standard which was an upgrade for the us models. But my car doesnt even have the m-sport spring. Shock is totally shot and bumpstops rotted away so seems unlikely it was swapped out early. If they did wtf did they downgrade for?

The spring itself is D4 which is m-sport.

Edit nevermind i cant read for shit.
