Tischer is double checking my order. I feel like I need the T3's to correct this.

Is it possible the shop did something? Maybe the coil of the spring isnt turned all the way or something.

Mr. 5 can you take a pic of your front like I did on flat ground? your pics are still angled a little high and looking down. Try to get low and take a pic so we can see a straight on shot.

My fronts sits fine and feels great driving, its the rear that I have some issue with. And yes, I have auto. My options are Step, Sport, Premium, and Nav.

Can you do me a favor and take a pic of your front like mine? You are the only one that has the same set up as me and I am curious if I am the only one that is a little high in front. maybe the install guys can help me with what i have.

Sorry but I can't take any more pics right now because my car is at the dealer for maintenance. I could take pics of the 328 that I have.

I know someone previously mentioned this, and I didn't feel that it was necessary but now I think it would be a good thing to check actual part numbers ordered and part numbers received.

I can't check my work email from home, but these are the part numbers that I actually received in the box.

Front Perf Springs: 31336788893
Rear Perf Springs: 33536788901

All in all, I am very happy with the feal, and I truly believe that I received the correct springs but it would be nice to find out with what's going on with you guys.

I just went out to my loaner and looked at the springs.

C5 is in the front and C4 is in the rear.
I'll place a bet on the letters being the distinguishing factor on the springs.

C is the comfort springs
D is the sport springs
T is the performance springs

The numbers have to do with the options and model.

Why would are numbers be the same on the D's but not on the T's? thats the question of the month.

I don't know but I took some measurements of the non sport.
Here's what I got:

Driver's front 14 5/8" ----------------Passenger's Front 14 5/8"
Driver's Rear 14 1/2" ----------------Passenger's Rear 14 1/4"

Only one coil barely showing, its nice an low I think. I will do my best to get a look and see which spring is on the rear tomorrow.

This interested me enough to check the label on my springs. I was able to easily see the front and I have T3 on my e92 xi. I have the sport package but I recall there being a big difference on the sport package on the xi vs non xi when it comes to suspension.

My performance springs are T3 front, T4 rear.
Old ZSP are D4 and D7.
Distance from hub center to fender remains 13.5 ± .1" at all 4 corners. Full tank of gas lowers rear by about .1"

Not sure if the suspension is settling in or if I am habituating, but some of the initial nibbly vibration that I felt through the steering wheel and my feet is mellowing out. Now the only ride difference is the stiffer, much more controlled feel. Wallow is gone. You feel and hear the divider gaps in pavement blocks more than with ZSP, but that is an acceptable trade-off for the huge improvement in handling. This car now has steering feel like a Porsche, corners like it's on rails, and has negligible acceleration/braking dive. I can't wait to get my summer tires back on.

So you have T3 springs and they are the sport springs?

Yes, for sure my front springs are T3's.

I have the sport package on my xi, but I dont know if that automatically means they are supposed to be the sport springs. Theres been debate over what suspension the xi actually gets with the sport package. Some claim all xi's get the same suspension regardless of sport package or not.

Maybe others can check and provide some more datapoints.

Where is the stamp on the rear springs? Top, middle or bottom?? Iam having a tough time seeing it.

EDIT: OK, i just noticed the T4 stamp on your first post. I'll go check again but my springs are black so Im not sure if I'll be able to see them so clearly.

xi has a ton more ground clearance; if the springs are T3 on the xi something must be very different. I did not think that the springs were any different on xi whether it had 18" wheels (sport) or standard.

ok, i just checked the front springs of my car. it had the D7 tag on it. I tried checking the rear but i couldnt find it that easily with just a flashlight.

BTW i have an e92

I'm not sure they know either to be honest.
I honestly think that they just go by part numbers so the 2 digit numbers on the springs aren't registering with them.
Hopefully they've contacted BMW and will get a call back from them soon.

There has to be someone they could contact regarding the BMW performance stuff.

If you look closely you'll see the single coil.
Is it just me or is it lower than the other's that I've seen? I'm only saying this because others are very intigued with this.
I'm mainly concerned with performance.
I know I have 19s, but 235/40 18 are almost identical in overall diameter to 235/35 19.

I have 19x8.5 et 35 front and 19x9.5 et33 in the rear and no rubbing.

I don't think it could make much difference, but both mr. 5 & me have some M3 suspension bits in addition to the BMW Performance dampers & springs.

We both have the "old" kit, so it's possible that the new one has different (T4 rather than T3) front springs.

I have no explanation for the driver/passenger side asymmetry mr. 5 has; mine are very close. I am considering a lightweight battery but I'm stock now. Minimal washer fluids, but surely that can't change anything.

For photos we should develop a standard protocol. I suggest 5' from wheels straight on at center hub height (~ 13.5") on level (measured) surface.
