Dealer says there's no 30k service
My car was at 28k and the indicator said 2000 miles until next service.
Last week I took it to the dealer because the break had a problem. So they replaced the break and I got the car back and the indicator now says 12000 miles until the next service. I thought at 30k there is mandatory maintenance so I asked my SA but he says there is no 30k service and you only bring it in when the car tells you so. Is he telling me the truth? Thank you so much in advance. bk |

Depending on how you drive you should get a oil change around 15k or one year. So close to 30k and the second year you should get and oil change, break flush and maybe a cabin filter.

He's right, you should only bring it in when it calls for service, it's not a definite 15k per service thing...however, if they didn't service it when you brought it in for brakes, they should not have reset the mileage counter
