I've not moved to the pro yet, but as you can move games to an external drive, it's supposed to be cake to migrate. That was the biggest sticking point before that happened; should you want to upgrade your drive, you were pretty much boned. I have moved from external disk and back again and it's more than simple.

I mean it’s pretty much transparent if you are a plus subscriber. I went from PS4 to Pro since I had gotten a 4K hdr tv and I simply synced my backup to the cloud, turned it off, set up the PS4 Pro and started restoring everything. That’s the fast and more incremental way to do it. You can follow these steps to essentially reimage your old PS4 to new PS4 Pro. But it can take several hours:

For game installs, the fastest way is a local drive. Even a gig connection will be slower than that.

We ARE talking about TBs of data.

I guess the way I looked at it is, I typically only play one game at a time, so didn’t worry about games I might go back to later on until I decided to.

i just picked up a new 65" LG OLED tv 4k HDR.. the whole shebang....
but i still own my launch edition PS4. been playing some COD on it as well as fortnite... it looks pretty good in my opinion...

amazon currently has the PS4 Pro on sale 15% off... not sure if its worth the jump. I also have the PS VR but it the launch edition that does not support HDR.. the new one from what i understand does.

first world problems i guess

60 FPS is the best
If you think that's impressive wait until the PC remastered version comes out. 144 refresh rate on my G-sync monitor, I probably can hit well over 100 fps on my GeForce 1080 with better graphics.
Haven't touched my PS4 in months. lol

I moved from an xbox to an xbox one x for similar reasons. The 4k is well worth the upgrade IMO. You can always sell your PS4 and recoup some of the cost as well.

It's quite subjective but I definitely enjoy it and think it's worth it. Also consider this, nearly all if not all games will have some kind of Pro support. I often play games from Drakemall here https://drakemall.com/boxes/football-box. It is a win-win game and hope I'll win PS4 one day too.

I think buying a PS4 Pro makes no sense, you need to wait for the PS5
