had plenty of taker but no beat downs yet. one xr6 Turbo gave me a very good run.

That being said i don't think i have come up against any heavily modded aussie cars

Wondering how a worked xr6turbo or fpv f6 would go against a fbo 335i. those ford turbos are insaneley quick and easy to pull power out of.

I raced a SV6 P-plater a few weeks back when I was stock + JB4.

We both pulled up at a dual lane roundabout, and I knew he'd go for it, but I waited until I was on straight road after the round about.

He jumped as quick as he could, so he got a head start then I stomped it.

The 335 was quicker, and I overtook him and pulled a few car lengths up to about 120... I felt a bit disappointed afterwards though knowing they're 210kw I thought I'd have left him over the horizon.

Then I realised a week or so later that at the spot we raced, my car could never have been up to operating temperature that close to home, so the JB4 wasn't even doing anything when I had raced him!!?! Haha.

Lol. You give it to your car when its still cold. I never can get myself to. I always wait till the temp gauge atleast moves. They take ages to warm up.
I was reading through your post a few times to make sure i was reading right. An sv6 lol. With jb4 only on map 1 ive beat a ve hsv

I followed the gentle theory when i first bought it, but it takes about 10 - 15 minutes to warm up.

On my daily commute, by the 15 min mark, all the fun moments have already passed.

I have a modified G6E Turbo Falcon as well as the BMW 335i. There is no comparison in the power difference. The G6E puts out 432rwkw @ 923Nm and pulls 11.08sec @ 127mph on the strip compared to 297rwkw @ 700Nm and 12.1sec @ 118mph for the Beemer.

Nicee!! G6e would be a rocket. How much did you have to spend on g6e to pull that much power?
And what have you got done to your 335i?

pulled on a VF GTS, only had him on his gear changes (I have DCT)

He was giving it the beans as well, chirping the tyres on his shifts.

Well a stock 335 can run a 13 flat, hsvs ect run between 13 13.5 despite the huge power figures so it would be a pretty even race there, given how much difference a jb4 makes to our cars I think you'd be pretty confident racing a gts or xr6t if your tuned.

Obviously after that theres alot more power to get out of a 4l i6t so they always have big power potential when you spend $.

smashed. XR6 Turbo on the highway. haven't had a proper run against any other Aussie cars. Only other would be a HSV R8 Clubsport, but it wasn't a proper run and he just chased me off the lights

Yes, the G6E Turbo is a handful on the road if you are not careful. Once it comes on boost, even at half throttle, the wheels start spinning. The traction control, LSD and 9.5" wide tyres have little resistance towards stopping this. Cost of mods was approx. $30,000.

This is what 920Nm of torque does to an after market heavy duty half shaft whilst loading it up on the line at Willowbank

The 335i mods are RB Turbos, AR downpipes, HPF Intercooler, AFE DCI, ER Charge Pipe with Tial Diverters and Cobb custom tune.

sorry not that knowledgable about Aussie cars but it was the new looking Falcon with the curvier lights. pretty sure he wasn't stock because I could hear him spooling and his BOV.
Mines just JB4, catless DP, exhaust, intake and Alpina transmission flash. this is on map2 which is 14.5PSI. if I remember correctly it was about 75/80-170+ and I floored it from 3rd so he kept up for a bit, if I went to 2nd in sure I wouldve pulled on him instantly.

he probably didn't expect a bimmer that's not an M car to pull on him, and before that he kept boosting past me and tail gating me so I just decided to go it haha

I had a good run against a Maloo in my 335 with JB4, lost the launch but pulled 2 car lengths shortly after. Had a run against a V8 Audi R8 too and won on every attempt. The guy in the Orange wrapped R8 was not impressed but gave me a thumbs up.

I am curious to know how a modded 335 say with JB and few mods will go against a Stock or slightly tuned C63. I never ran times in the 335 or my current ride so bit hard to determine which is quicker.
