Question about V-1 Radar Detector

Do these things work good? I tend to drive fast alot and the last thing I need is another speeding ticket, would it be a good idea to get this?

You realize that radar detectors are next to worthless against laser. It certainly detects the laser but once you are hit with laser it is already too late. I'm pairing my V1 up with a Laser Interceptor.

100% correct, my radar on the V1 always works like a charm. The laser on the other hand is another story. sometimes it goes off, and even when it does you're already screwed. There was a freak time where it went off really early, had to the laser bouncing around, I certainly wouldn't bank on it though. Still a great thing to have, has saved me numerous times, although it's a little chatty.

All over NJ. I constantly get hit on 78, 287, 202 and pretty much everywhere else.

all over...laser is tough because say you are going 80 in a 65 and laser goes off. boom hes got you already and your done. laser interceptors are nice to have but i dont think its worth it. i just slow down in areas where there are breaks in the road where it looks like a cop would be chillin.

Hi there,

Got nothing to do at work and put down my first post in the regional forum.

The most important thing for the detector is sensitivity. V1 is a really sensitive to radar.

I don't know about Laser. I haven't had one speeding ticket since tagged by Laser in Long Island in ~97. My V1 ticks off once a while with Laser warning. It is caused by some stupid cars with Laser distance whatever cruise control.

They're pricey, no doubt about it but V1's pick up signals from way down the road and can save you time, frustration and money. A bonus is you get alerted to roadwork projects in plenty of time - good for you and good for the workers.
