Popular LCD/Plasma TV choices?

put this in the OT section but thought i'd post it here too.

what are some good and popular choices you guys would recommend in the $1000-$2000 range.

i might be able to get some for dirt cheap but i need some brands and models. nothing too extravagant but something the average or above average joe would buy.

maybe i can get you guys a deal

+1 those are pretty much top tier brands in terms of picture and reliability.

The craigslist link will lead to to Costco and it's a post-Thanksgiving Sale, I guess. You won't get any lower than 1400 for 1080P normally. For Sony, it's just overpriced. If you concern about looks, Samsung might be a consideration but other than that: Sharp anyday.

Vizio. bang for the buck. i think it's based out of irvine and they sold more than sony last year.
