Threads like these arent fair to the sponsors.... sure some of the info is correct, but it will spiral out of control and make the tuners wish they didnt even come on here. And thats not good for business, since sponsors pay bills to the forums.

Yeah, but at the same time, when you don't take care of your customer (best customers at that), then crap like this happens....

Threads like these aren't fair to consumers. I've paid $175 for a wire loom that I can't use. Shiv got pressured by everyone to get V2 out sooner than he was ready. His staunchest supporter on the entire e90post site just sold his Procede. That is worth having a very large thread about. To be honest, not sure he would have sold 1000 units without this forum's support. It's a double-edged sword.

Yeah but closing out a thread to limit the exposure of a sponsor selling their product here because of a thread like this, is showing the customers or future customers that there is something to hide!!

I respect Vishnu completely and love their work. I bought a XEDE for my evo from another customer and Vishnu support the product 100%!!! They even replaced it with a more recent version of their XEDE. Now with the proceed coming out they dropped the XEDE, but not the support for it. You all should really read some of the threads on the Evo forums about Vishnu. This is a thing that has been going on with their company for awhile. I as another member on here mentioned. I am not surprised by this behavior from Vishnu. I wish they would spend more time on projects, but hey, he is a tuner, not a parts shop. Here are some threads for interest....

I completely agree... I was just saying that mods don't like sponsors to leave, obviously...

Oh, no - this won't turn into a I love Terry forum (but I do), the Helix obsession is just starting to kick in.

When I posted the same thing among other things I've noticed in the EVO 10 thread, I was accused of being bitter. Funny, you can't post objective observations about Vishnu on here without the fanboys freaking out.

At this point, I assume the Vishnu guys will get active again when the 10 rolls out, but I'm not sure why anyone would use their services. They have a history of using hardware that is quickly outdated to the point it is almost worthless after only a few years and abandoning markets when Shiv looses interest. Check out how many actual Vishnu replies in the Vishnu Section. It's really a joke. I for one have learned my lesson.

They have never treated me bad when i was in need of help. But that doesn't mean they can slack on the customer service either.... There is a major hole in that department of their business.

What I'm pointing out is they move from car to car, platform to platform, making great tunes, but then they drop the ball in move on to another car. I'm just talking from past experience that I've seen.

Helix is too far out of the picture...Release of the Helix won't be for months but than again people have to wait months for the V2 anyways!

That's business, no. 1 goal is to make money, lots of it. when the resources are gone, you move on to another field, kinda like a swarm of locusts.

I agree with you. Its like the pick up and leave without any warning. It can be quite scary. To see the XEDE drop price from a $900 product to $50 is crazy!!! Thats why I thought with my new car I would wait on the proceed to drop to rock bottom.

His tunes are great bar none... but the future of it all can be dramatic.

Unless he blew his engine from the V2 I don't really mind what he runs.

In fact I would not be surprised if he goes with JB. After all Terry gives those things away for free left and right to all the key people on the forum. Its no secret.

Exactly!!! The thing is... they make tons of money then they don't finish the entire project. Make money to fund the next project.
