I finally purchased one and it arrived just a couple days after ordering it. I'm not sure how well the colors match because my car is dirty but the lip seems to be brighter.

I think they even mention on their page that certain colours, like red in particular, are harder to paint match.

My jet black was spot on.

Yea, and they even messaged me after I bought it to verify that I still wanted it. I put it on after I washed my car and it looks pretty good. You can see a very slight difference if you're up close but from a few feet away, it looks perfect. I'm pretty happy with it.

If you ever find you're not happy with it... just wrap it in CF (or replace with a CF one)! Then add other CF bits (front splitter, side mirrors) to complete the look. CF accents on a red car can look pretty sweet!

are these painted spoilers being painted and shipped from Taiwan? I have seen some sellers claiming they're shipped from California. From previous experiences/purchases, I've had some products sent from overseas, but claiming it's located within the US.

Not worried about the quality...more about the waiting timeframe.

I don't think so, it's been a couple of years on mine but it arrived quick so I doubt it's coming from over seas.

Pool over the boot?

Just wondering...for those of you that have this high kick spoiler, does it hold water on top of the truck lid after heavy rain storms since the spoiler appears to wrap around the back end of the trunk lid.

Also, how "high" does the highest point rise above the trunk lid?

Thanks.

No, it doesn't. Highest point is maybe 3" at most.

Got my cf one in today!

Qq, did most of you use the double sided tape supplied? Or go with something else like 3m vhb? I have several rolls of Lepage "No More Nails" tape, which is their strongest consumer line. I've had no issues using this in the past for a duckbill spoiler, so should be strong enough, but if the supplied tape is good, I'll just use it.

I plan to clean the surface on the trunk and spoiler, wipe down with rubbing alcohol, dry, and then lay down the spoiler.

I used the supplied 3M, it has held up for three years now.

Good to know. I compared the "thickness" of the supplied tape (it doesn't state "3M" anywhere) compared to the Lepage No More Nails tape, and the Lepage one is a bit thinner, so I may go with that to minimize any gaps between the spoiler edge and the trunk.

Ah, mine had 3M branded tape, not sure I would trust anything else.

Finally got around to installing it, used the double sided tape it came with.

Prepped by wiping all surfaces with alcohol. I applied the tape to the spoiler and then let it sit for several days before I installed it onto the car.

Perfect fitment, very happy!

I've had this installed for about 3.5 years on the double sided tape that was included. I honestly don't remember if it was 3M or not. It's still holding up great.

Just got mine in the mail and I'm incredibly happy! This is a quality part that I would recommend to anyone looking. The fitment is perfect. No need to force the spoiler into place. The weave and the finish is very nice. The seller is easy to communicate with and very friendly, I got a 5% discount for mentioning the forum.

Just wanted to give my review of getting the lip just now from emotors2000. The packaging was quality with good protection and shipping only took less than a week from Taiwan to Canada via DHL. I ended up paying an extra $25 for taxes and duties to my country so not too bad.

Installation was a breeze with the included the double sided tape. I just kept the strip half a millimeter from the edge of the sunken tape lip and also kept the tape a millimeter away from the curve where it fits vertical against the trunk lid.

I've included some pics via Bimmerpost app so hopefully the app's picture compression is enough to see clearly. I'm super happy how it turned out!
