Any way to generate Sirius FSC for Professional (non-nav) HU?

I recently acquired a project e90 which had a professional headunit with a faulty screen. I replaced it with a 2011 build HU with built-in Sirius, Bluetooth, and USB functionality, but no MOST connectivity.

Sirius is not a selectable option in the source menu. After reading multiple threads, my understanding is that Sirius activation requires FSC activation in the 2010+ HU iterations. There are countless methods for FSC generation for CIC, but a relative paucity of information on whether this is possible on RAD2 professional HU.

Sirius is hardly worth the discounted subscription fee I'll be paying, but I can't justify buying an FSC. Is there a way to generate/activate FSC for the Professional HU?

TIA

Better go to the coding subforum .
I think it's a different option number if its built in.

If it's after 09 no antenna built into the car I believe.
You need to be able to open the radio file with ncsexpert to see
what's going on.

Thanks for the advice. I'll picking coding forum's brains too.

The HU is 2011 but my car is '06 and is pre-wired for SDARS in the trunk. I routed the pink fakra connector to the HU using a fakra extension cable but with no success.

You have to turn on the option via software in the HU before anything
will happen. Most people that install the module have to do that to and
some of them get away with just calling sirius and getting some kind of code from them.

parameter SDARS must be turned to aktiv from nicht aktiv in the radio file.

Just to be clear, I'm trying to activate the Sirius that's built in to the HU, not the SDARS module in the trunk (or lack thereof in my case). The HU has the Sirius logo on it and I'm led to believe that an FSC is needed to activate it. I've added the option $655 to the VO and coded RAD2 to no avail.

Thanks.

I would think there would be a line of code that says the same in the Radio
even if it's built in.

You would think. My RAD2 FSW file has three entries for SDARS with their corresponding selections listed:

SDARS_INBOX
aktiv

SDARS_DTC
inbox

SDARS_PHONE_NUMBER_1
wert_0

I managed to force the radio to utilize the SDARS tuner using a diagnostic mode in INPA and confirmed the hardware is working correctly. I could see the preview channel on the display and hear it though my speakers, but the only way to get there was using INPA. Unfortunately there is no way I've found yet to add satellite to audio source menu.

Furthermore, this is listed on RealOEM which effectively confirms my suspicion that FSC has to be used. I'll reach out to coding forum to see if there is a homebrew solution like there is with CIC.

Most people who where installing the Sat Box reported that once they enabled
Sat in the I drive or Pro Radio they just called sirius and got or tranferred there subscription.
