The HiFi harness is a locking connector to the OEM harness that it is shown in your photos. It has 4 labeled RCA (female) outputs, a remote turn on triggered relay -so you can add as many amps as you want without loading the OEM circuit- and 16AWG woofer and 18AWG mids wires, labeled as well.
I'm looking for a HiFi harness as well. I sent you a PM.

I'll take a pic of it. I believe it's a hifi harness that can be used for L7 applications. I will verify that, I paid $45ish for it so can sell if for a few bucks less.

Anyone have pictures of the base, HIFI and logic system? I'm not sure which one this car has?

And if you're talking about the 09 M3, it has EITHER HiFi or Individual/Enhanced Premium. It won't have base (in the US) nor Logic 7 (in the US).

^ Musicar to the rescue! Btw, I have purchased from them, and would highly recommend MC. Ken really knows his stuff; and the products + custom enclosures are top notch!

Can anyone tell me what the black fibre cable in my E92 2007 335i is for? It is just in front of the fuse box and seems to be plugged into nothing at the moment.

Would you happen to know what runs underneath the little compartment in front of the shifter if you remove the rubber lining?
This is what I mean:

Hi, I have a 2010 BMW e93 with I Drive Business Nav but a BASE audio non amplified. The floor sub-woofers have 4 wires into them.

As these are in parallel with the single unit door speakers is it not possible to connect into 2 of these 4 wires to take high level inputs (2 front channels) to the 4 channel amp???

Then connect to the remaining 2 wires to feed new door speakers (I intend to use the Focal 100RS units) with 2 channels from the amp. This will save running new wires into the doors from the sub connector point. Running new wires to the sub point from the rear amp for the 4 channels.

Can anyone help please??

This diagram is incredible and I wanted to reshare it. Now I feel safe changing to big power and bypassing the HIFI plus knowing what the stocks can take etc that I may keep some.

So much great help on this forum. I don't use the others much because e90 is so badass!

First I took a look at the wiring harness by the amp (std. US-spec "Hi-Fi" stereo, non-L7). Wow! What a tangle.

So I pried them apart to figure it out.

Then, to avoid confusion I made this wiring diagram on the computer.

Then I decided to make one to help out the Logic 7 folks.

If I got anything wrong, please let me know and I'll revise. I was working off some forum thread info for the L-7, since I don't have such a system. Cheers and good luck.
LOL I made diagrams like these to test potential customised systems for an E90, and an installer thought I was mad!!! At least I know innit the only one

If I want to add a crossover just for upgraded tweeters is that still possible since they are wired along with the Mids on the doors?

Currently have JL ZR-100 (tweeters) JL C5-400cm (Mids at door) OEM subs and JL 6/600

Any suggestions are appreciated

Can't you get a passive crossover from JL?

Can't you get a passive crossover from JL?

Probably any passive crossover would work but one
designed by the speaker manufacturer would probably be
better.

I have the ones that it came with but does that even work since the speakers are wired parallel? I'm going to re wire everything so that everything has its own channel. Any reason that's not recommended for any reason?

Everybody splits the connection

Everybody splits the connection(parallel)
that's what you have to do to get good sound
quality. Then most people put the crossover in the
door to void having to run another set of wires to the door.
If you look at the Technic Harness kits for base system
I think there is only one of 4 that does not split the connection.
See technicpnp.com

So the rear side panel and the rear parcel shelf cables are the same colors for the Logic 7. Which goes to which, or doesn't it matter? I have an E92 coupe.

hi,

I don't know if I'm in the right place to post this. been around this site for wiring diagram information for my 2007 e90 n54. I have a crank no start problem and wanted to look at the wiring. I took out my spark plug coil pack to check for spark. pulled out coil pack, left electrical plug in and used a screw driver with wire to run close to ground to see the spark jump when cranking=NO SPARK COMMING FROM COIL PACK. So I switch to another coil pack and it was the same result. so I figure I would start looking into the wiring diagram of how the coil packs are wired and how can I test them. please help or point me in the right direction. thank you.
vehicle symptoms: was driving, I down shift and pressed the gas paddle, all of a sudden my car starts to miss/sputter.. yellow check engine lights come on. I had to drive 20miles more to my destination. Got there, went out and came back to start car 3hours later. Car started and then died out. since then, my car hasn't been able to start. friend accidently erased the codes with his reader. so tried to restart and pull codes. only code came out was a p0341 code which refers to the camshaft sensor. so I order cam and crankshaft sensor and replaced both. also cleaned out the venos solenoids and swapped and replaced them, checkout out all spark plugs. tried to restart car and still same problem long cranking, no start, half yellow engine light on which mean limp mode? help help help.
