Coding out light checks
Hi,
I have a E92, 2007. I am going to use NCS Expert to try change some code for the following: Clear errors and stop checking of all front and rear lights (as all going LED) including turn signals, except the Xenon D1S bulb as that's staying. I will follow a YouTube tutorial to code in the digital speedometer as I fancy that. I just can't find a guide on the light coding I want to do above. Thanks for any help. PS: I tried to understand how to use Dummy, but I can't find any meaningful guides on that too. EDIT: ;Check Control parameters FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_BLK_H_L turn signal rear left FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_BLK_H_R turn signal rear right FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_BL_L brake light left FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_BL_R brake light right FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_RFS_L reverse light left FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_RFS_R reverse light right FEHLERMELD_CC_RL_BL_1_L tail light 1 left FEHLERMELD_CC_RL_BL_1_R tail light 1 right FEHLERMELD_CC_RL_BL_2_L tail light 2 left FEHLERMELD_CC_RL_BL_2_R tail light 2 right ;Cold Monitoring parameters KALTUEBERWACHUNG_BL_L brake light left KALTUEBERWACHUNG_BL_R brake light right KALTUEBERWACHUNG_RFS_L reverse light left KALTUEBERWACHUNG_RFS_R reverse light right KALTUEBERW_RL_BL_1_L tail light 1 left KALTUEBERW_RL_BL_1_R tail light 1 right KALTUEBERW_RL_BL_2_L tail light 2 left KALTUEBERW_RL_BL_2_R tail light 2 right ;Hot Monitoring parameters WARMUEBERWACHUNG_BLK_H_L turn signal rear left WARMUEBERWACHUNG_BLK_H_R turn signal rear right WARMUEBERWACHUNG_BL_L brake light left WARMUEBERWACHUNG_BL_R brake light right WARMUEBERWACHUNG_RFS_L reverse light left WARMUEBERWACHUNG_RFS_R reverse light right WARMUEBERW_RL_BL_1_L tail light 1 left WARMUEBERW_RL_BL_1_R tail light 1 right WARMUEBERW_RL_BL_2_L tail light 2 left WARMUEBERW_RL_BL_2_R tail light 2 right Changing these to nicht_activ is enough for all the checks I listed above? Are they all found in FRM? Last edited by YamiPrem; 08-03-2021 at 03:52 PM.. |

Similar process to the guide you used for the digital speed coding but instead of KOMBI you're going into the FRM module to change these values.
Read the coding, then open the FSW_PSW.trc in NCS Dummy, select the name of the ecu program file, it appears in the lower line of the middle screen of NCS Expert after you read the module (FRM2.C02 for example, something like that), and NCS dummy will load up the file along with checkboxes and translations to easily change from activ to nicth activ on the light checks you want to disable. CRTL-F helps with searching the lines of code. Export as FSW_PSW.MAN then make sure job is SG_CODIREN and just send it. Sorry if my instructions are slightly unclear, I'm not near a computer atm but hope this helps get the idea across of using NCS Dummy. Best of luck. |
