What I wrote was that I do not support what you are trying to do. I can sell you the harness but you will be on your own, no warranty and no assistance of any kind once the harness is cut.

This is nothing personal, this is a matter that I did try to help forum members until 40+ PM started showing a day just for support of even installs without my harness. No more.

Do you call up Metra and ask for custom Harness?

Do you call up Metra and ask for custom Harness?

out the shipping and day to day tasks. (Well if you want to.)

Thanks for your constant support...

I have my own network of suppliers, the problem is that I am still working in my day job.

What do you recommend for getting better sound quality from Top Hifi/Logic 7 in e92? I've heard the logic 7 speakers are good, and just need a better amp/dac/dsp to really shine. I'm not sure if the Bavsound stage 1 is worth the upgrade over the Logic 7 or not. Should I get just DSP, bavsound+dsp, or other aftermarket upgrade? I've seen that the JBL DSP seems to be the go-to upgrade, does your harness turn it into a plug and play upgrade?

Sorry for the reply instead of a DM, I just made my account and don't have privs yet

You won't get a response from Technic here he is no longer is member
of this board for something like almost a decade.
Not a fan of Bavsound as there speakers are really geared for the stock amps
and they won't publish there spec's
Both Bavsound and Bimmertech use Helix audio tech fisher rebranded amp/dsp's.
I think those are better than most anything else in the amp/dsp catagory and the
DSP's are well supported .
Bavsound locks down the tune on there's to what they will give somehow.
Logic 7 is difficult to modify because of the fiberoptic connection and the 9 channels.
Mobridge now make's a drop in Amp/DSP that solves the problem of the Most connection
compatibility and its an 8 channel amp with pretty good power per channel.
Not a lot of feedback on that yet as it's so new.
https://www.diymobileaudio.com/threa...review.432510/

Also what do mean by good because it's pretty relative .
Most people are satisfied with the Logic 7 .
Most people are not willing to pay for awesome or no how to achieve it.

Technic has his own website
https://technicpnp.com/
You really have to study the Logic 7 system before you attempt to do anything to it.

Hey ctuna, i'm having trouble getting audio out of my logic 7 headunit after replacing amp w jbl dsp4068. I coded CAS and FRM to $676, and sg_codeiren 2URAD, and still no signal. I have 6CD changer and satellite radio, do i need to code those also? I really don't know what to do

Run NCSexpert
Click "file" and select "load profile" and select "expertmode"
Click "VIN/ZCS/FA” (F1)
Click "ZCS/FA f. ECU” (F3)
Select chassis type "e89"
On choose ECU select "CAS"
After your vin is shown select "enter FA" (F2)
Select chassis type "e89"
Ensure VIN shown is correct and select "OK"
Enter $676 and then select "add"
Then scroll down and select "£676" and select "OK"
Then select "Back button"
Then select "F4 Process ECU"
Then select from drop down list "CAS"
Then select "F2 Change Job"
Then select "FA_WRITE" and click "OK"
Ensure CAS is shown on "Get Coded" and FA_WRITE shown on "JOB NAME"
Select "F3 Execute Job"
{At this point, confim the VO order again (that $676 is listed) and you may have to switch to Manipulation/Expert profile}

"SG_CODIEREN" job should be applied to the following modules:
RAD2/2RAD and RAD2_GW modules {probably just 2URAD if you’re US base audio – other ones are for different countries/options and wont exist on your list}

Sg codieren job apply the changes in the Cas and Frm to the Radio module.
If you read the Radio File it should reflect Hi Fi near the beginning.
It may a require a ICOM cable for cars made after 3/07 some people say they have
been able to do it with the Bimmergeeks cable.

Removing the other most bus module is not necessary but you do have to take out the amp and at a Most
Jumper there or reroute the OEM out at the Most Hub . (easier to jump it out)

Don't know why you would pick that amp the specs are not very good.
I looked at the manual an I can't see that is says the it accepts low level
differential inputs.
To check the inputs you might try hooking up a small speaker across the radio outputs one
at a time and playing something while the Input is not hooked up to the amp.

The outputs from the Head Unit in Hi Fi are differential output reduced speaker outs.
If the RCA's are single ended on the unit The shield is common ground and it will short
them out.

Ok. I got it because it seemed to be the new version of the MS-8 that everyone was using in the past. It was on sale for $260. If you have a different amp you recommend for under $300 I'll just return this and get that one

If your goal was to get something better than the Logic 7 you are going to have to spend
around 1k .
Helix 86 dsp or BMW 7 .

I would call up JBL and ask them about the Inputs once you have established if you have outputs
out of the Radio.

Those coding instructions are for the pro radio the nav/idrive has different files if you have that .
And the files are even different between the various levels of Nav. No rad files in the Idrive/Nav's

https://pinoutguide.com/Car-Stereo-A...t_pinout.shtml

The instructions in the amp do not say if you can use RCA's to hook up a differential (non common ground )
Input .

I didn't think it would take more than $500 to get a better amp than one from 2006. Maybe its just these bavsound speakers thay are garbage then lmao

Even when people where using the MS-8 they added amps on top of it
because the outputs were kind of weak mostly for the under seats. Also
people found the auto tune kind of appealing but it turned out you could never
tune to your ultimate satisfaction cause there as no manual tuning. It was the first
of the 8 channel dsp's with some amplification. There are much better ones now
but they aren't dirt cheap.

Gotcha. If you're saying the logic 7 amp is decent then I think I'll just return the bavsound stage 1 speakers and DSP4068 and just put that money towards better speakers. I know there are a bunch of speaker setup listings on the site, but do you have one you personally recommend for about $800? I already have the SWS-8 underseat woofers, but I could always return those for different underseats too. I just liked the idea of getting slightly deeper/lower for cheap. I switched the polarity of one of them and the bass is good enough for me for now. Now I'm just chasing sound imaging and clarity.

Logic 7 speakers and bavsound stage 1 are both pretty muddy to my ears coming from listening to studio monitors every day at home

I would try to buy some quality .
If I was doing a Hi Fi setup.
My first choice would be Helix Audio Tech Fisher if I wanted DSP/amp as there
DSP is more advanced and widely used and I have heard good things about
there amps . The bimmertech and Bavsound amps are basiclly rebranded
Helix 86dsp and BMW 7's respectively .
Second would be Mosconi or maybe JL audio.
Mosconi also has some good combo's.

If you are sticking with Logic 7
the new amp on the Block is the Mobridge this is a drop in replacement for the
Logic 7 amp with much better power and DSP.
No recoding it read's the Fiberoptic on Logic 7 .

Specs to shoot for better than
50 watts a channel with low distortion.
Enough channels to fill all the locations you want to use .
You may want more wattage for the underseats or the ability to bridge
channels to get that wattage.

One of the problems with logic 7 is there are a lot of channels and the new offerings
usually come with 8 channels at most, but a lot are 6 . Really having good quality speakers in the Front is along with one of these amps/dsp's will give you the most improvement.

On the fourth slide of the carousel on this page, it says that it does accept "balanced differential inputs". So I'm not sure why I wasn't getting audio to my speakers when I had the input switch set to Low.?
