Xdelete question

I have an e91 and am looking into getting Xdelete. Their website looks like I can use MHD or Thor for IOS, but the instructions seem to only mention Thor. Does anyone know if either single will work? I tried reaching out to their support, but never heard back. Thanks

Yes the MHD dongle will work. It's by the same people who make Xhp and the dongle also works for that.

Just to confirm have you used MHD for Xdelete on an e90 with an IOS device?

I haven't used MHD, but I have used the Thor connector. Worked without any issues on my Iphone

Thanks for the reply. Does Thor have an app where I can view my cars parameters in real time like temp and rpm etc?

Not that I'm familiar with, but I didn't do much searching either. I use Bimmerlink for real time data on a separate OBD dongle - Veepeak.

All in all I've probably spent more than necessary on OBD connectors between the Veepeak (real time data and simple coding) Thor (Xdelete exclusively) and the Bimmergeeks cable (3SIM and beyond) but I value the convenience of each

That's helpful, thank you for the info! And to clarify you have an n52 328i? Want to make sure Thor is compatible with my variant of e90.

Yup. Shouldn't have any problems with it.

Cool thanks. So I guess the only question is whether MHD would work with an n52 because then I could use Xdelete and have live data through one dongle.

It does. I have a 2006 330xi and used the MHD dongle with xDelete (iOS) with the intention of swapping in an N54 in the future....currently have a vanos issue and if it ends up being the sealing rings carving out a groove in the head, that n54 swap will be happening much sooner lol

Nice. So you are using the n54 dongle?

Yes MHD is technically only for N54s but all these modules speak the same comms language. I would wager it would also work for other OBDII/canbus apps
