As far as I've seen, the f3x calipers are direct bolt on. I havent installed mine yet, waiting to get them powder coated first.

F3x calipers mount up exactly the same as 335i calipers, same bolt spacing

Does it require coding? How is pedal feel?

For what swap? I have a 335i not a 328

F3x on my 335i doesn't require coding, I have only seen people code 330/328 and lower, not sure if it's actually an option on 335 as I haven't checked. Pedal feel is fine, although I do have an M3 master cylinder ready to go in when I have the time.

Ah, OK. I do not think you need coding to adjust EBD.

I did the same upgrade to 335i calipers on my 330i. I've seen lots of F30 upgrades and they look great but once nice thing about the 335i calipers are they're typically cheap, don't require any coding and offer WAY more performance pad options than the original 330i calipers. The pad specs are the same as what are available on the M3 so if you're into performance track day and want better options it is the way to go. I got 335i calipers used for 75 bucks with carriers, it was a no brainer for me. I've abused them on the track and they can take the heat no problem. Great upgrade!

One thing about 335 calipers is that they are pretty cheap rebuilt. Raybestos is very good rebuilder as well as Centric.

I'm going down the Fx chassis brembos on my E91 330d. Got a nice set all ready to go on at the end of the month. Just waiting for the rear discs to arrive.

I've considered doing those in the future, the 335 brakes will hold me down for now though. Much cheaper haha

Much. One thing to consider is that F brakes come with ceramic compound. Not the best performance IMO.
