Any ways to fix loose exterior door handle?

Just replaced my door handle due to a faulty comfort access sensor. Noticed the new one has a bit more play than the previous. Do they just wear overtime? Bought this off a part out. Checked my friends 335i it has barley any movement but my other friends M3 had a bit more but still less than mine

Odds are you'll need to pull the door panel off and tighten it down.
