• ...it meanders to a lot of different things. It makes it interesting. And you don't have to read the whole thread.

It seems to me that the administrators are pretty easy going on e90post. I haven't noticed anything get deleted.

You've gotta start somewhere. On another forum I have joined, the admins started the thread themselves. That thread is at 1484 pages long! And that forum is VERY strict. I have already had three posts deleted by the administrators in less than a week.

It seems like a good place to put stuff that you don't want to start a new thread to discuss. Especially stuff of the moment.

It probably doesn't take up as much bandwidth as having lots of different threads asking stuff like, "What should I buy for my GF's birthday that is tomorrow?" The value of those posts expires almost as soon as they are submitted. That's where a thread that deals with the present is more useful. And it meanders to a lot of different things. It makes it interesting. And you don't have to read the whole thread history to get something from it that is current.
