Possible automatic transmission slip
Usually on cold starts when I start to drive occasionally my 2nd gear will Rev a little higher before it shifts and I think it has done it on 3rd gear too. Is this transmission slip or something else and has anyone else experienced this? My car is a 2011 335i

Yea man, I had the same "issue" when I bought my e93. My searches on these forums found it's basically due to software in the trans, which is standard and common. Not an problem.
I had to flash my trans with" xHP stage 2" for my custom tune and the "slipping/over rev" is gone. All my other shifts are firm and precise when going WOT, but super smooth when slow poking around town. |

Normally this transmission locks the torque converter as soon as possible but it has a special cold start routine that allows extra slippage to help warm up the fluid.
