No sport suspension on xi. And in NY, you don't really need xi to begin with. I would probably get xi if I lived in area with more snow then NY or if I was affraid to drive in snow.

Honestly, u need to take them both for a test drive. Many of the 335i guys put on blinders when it comes to the xi and all you're gonna get is a bunch of "my car feels faster" type responses. Go drive em both and make up your own mind. Around here, you will not get any data on this topic worth harvesting. Although I will tell you this. MY particular 335xi sedan is better than any other car on the road. That is all.

So IMO choice between Coupe and Sedan really depends on what style you like better and whether you need to use the backseat often.

The choice between XI and I comes down to whether you need AWD. If its a year round car and you drive in the snow belt, then you may well consider it.
agree with most of what you said, but what the hell is " i think the sedan is uglier" = meaning the coupe is ugly as well? and the sedan is not ugly.. msport ftw

I've got your solution in the following 5 simple steps

1) Test drive each model
2) See which one YOU like the most
3) Negotiate best possible price
4) Buy car
5) Regardless of choice, you will LOVE you're new BMW 335

Thanks!! Sorry for the caps guys just got a little happy thinking about it, you guys know how it is when you anticipating a 335i...
Get XDrive only if you need it. If you plan on driving in extreme snowy conditions...and safety matters a lot to you...get the XDrive. Its a beast.

You will sacrifice the joy of RWD though...if you can live without XDrive do not get it . Don't get it just to have AWD.

The suspension on XDrive is in between the sport suspension and the normal non-sport...so its stiff enough, but does have some body lean.

BMW engineered the xDrive system so it only kicks in when the car detects lack of traction. Otherwise, on a fine, clear bright day, the car will still be RWD.
