Aussie E-Bay - Buy It Now - E9x Recomended

Hey everybody,

Feel free to post anything E9x platform related for the benefit of fellow members.

Maybe best to stick to "buy it now items" as the links will live longer and avoid any bidding wars with other fellow members on popular items.

Comfort Access Fob - plastic outer shell and blank metal key

Recently purchased from Bulgaria and took just over a week for delivery. All key electronics transferred into the new key fob. Greatly improved over my shabby 8 year old key fob. $48 Aus delivered. New metal door key will need to be recut at your locksmith of choice. Note - Comfort Access electronics and battery wont fit in a non comfort access key fob which are much cheaper.

Bilstein B12 kit just fitted to my car, very happy with the handling, rides better than stock.

E82:

Bit more expensive for E92 and E90 though, very close to the cost of a set of entry level coilovers once you fit a camber plate to the Bilsteins:

I hate these threads, as when you spot a part pop up that you may get for a good price but then pops up on a thread like this and you have 6 other guys bidding on it bumping the price way up haha

The spring clip sucks on the 2nd one. One of the prongs broke off and I had a small piece of metal in the spark plug wall. Luckily didn't fall into the engine and got it out with a magnetic pickup tool.

noted! ... lucky bought the old school 1st link then.

man these n54s and their spark plug wall design is amazing aka frustrating, you can't just walk down the shops to get a 12 point 14mm deep socket. haha. Has to be thin walled too!

Have you already tried this link?

I've recommended someone recently (last month) to this link and worked fine for MHD

Is the delivery time accurate?

Standard for free shipping from Asia I guess.

Nice!

It would be quite expensive to fit it though wouldnt it? (its a F&R windshield out job?)

Defininitely! Front and rear windshield out, headliner (which basicaly requires most of the interior to be stripped)

Drill out the spot welds for the roof, remove sunroof.

Surfaces need to be prepped, roof bonded.

Some small stuff like getting coding out the sunroof and replacing the dome light switch to non sunroof buttons (optional)

I saw someone who did the M3 CSL roof to a an E46 M3. The steel roof panel isn't actually that heavy because its so thin, don't save too much but its all the top of the car. Doubt you would notice a difference, just the bling factor mainly.
