Horrible Overboost Target 18 Actual 29

Hi all. Yesterday I got a new intake manifold and put it on because the holes in my previous one that sat the throttle body bolts were stripped.

After putting everything back together I cleared all the codes and started the car. The moment I drove out the car stalled randomly at a stop sign. Every time little throttle was applied in first gear the car would die out unless you gave it more. I checked the codes and got an overboost code.

I removed and plugged back in all MAF/TMAP/Absolute pressure sensors and drove to log. I drove on an 8 psi map and the log I got showed a lot of flunctuation of overboost past the target.

So I thought to try an OTS MHD Stage 2+ map and see what would happen with more boost. Keep in mind I have a pure stage 2 so I know the map has horrid timing and wgdc targets but I did it for testing sake and because I don’t have a custom tune for pump gas. After doing a pull the map targeted 16 and overboosted TO 29PSI before my car cut power completely for a second. I checked all vacuum lines, I cleaned all sensors. The throttle body and manifold are both torqued to spec. I’m lost right now. This never happened before. A crack in the manifold? It was used but I visually inspected and cleaned everything before putting it on

Myself and a few others who are on MHD 2+ OTS are getting massive overboost as well.

Provided MHD a log but have yet to hear back. Car behaves normally if MHD is removed completely.

Do you have a log from 2+?

I have stock turbo, but here you go:

At 28 PSI my car chokes as if it misfires. This never used to happen with earlier versions of MHD OTS Maps.

At least you have Pure Stage 2 so it's worth and essential for you to go with a custom tune. But for my part, spending 450$ (CAD) for a custom tune with no assurance it will fix my issue is complete shit.

Fixed my issue. Replaced boost solenoid and also relieved my wastegate vacuum line from its metal clip as it looked like it was being pinched by it. I dont know which one fixed it but no more overboosting or oscillations.

I replaced all vacuum lines and boost solenoid from fcp. Didnt fix the issue for me.

Do you have the gfb dv+? If so do you have the extra spring installed?

Whatever came with the kit was installed on my car

I was pretty lost when trying to resolve it but I was thinking of checking my cp connections because a boost leak could cause overboosting after a certain pressure
