EU Car: Code Out DMTL - Accidently flashed with MHD Custom Map

Hey there,

i have a german E92 335i 2009

I wrote my first own custom map with Tunerpro.

Now i get the Code: 2A18 - DMTL

Fun part. My car does not have that hardware from factory.

I set the parameter to 00 to disable it, but it is still coming on.
I flashed back to an OTS (MHD) Map (2 min Write) and it is still there.
I guess i would need to make a big go back to stock flash but i would rather work around this.

How can i get rid of that parameter in my car now?!
I also have NCS Expert/Dummy and die a few things here and there <-- but i am also a dummy at the same time so i donīt know what to code out.

Can i delete the parameter simply in XDF file or how can i avoid "coding it in" in the future?

Thank you all for the Input!!!

Hi! Thanks.

I flashed a semi-custom Map from Ken and the issue is gone.

Also i got a message from MHD directly

Quote:
Start a 2 mins map flash then aborted after 0%. Cycle ignition off and on.
Reflash say stage 0 then you're back to euro specs.
After that use mhd / stock maps operations / generate bin to get your OEM euro bin.

Exact same problem here.

Is it possible to get this map or kind of? to avoid a long write.
I thought about flashing the BEF bin, i saw there is one US and one normal version, assuming the normal version is EU ?

Did you also find a solution in the XDF toggles or something to avoid this in the future? if i reflash a US bin for example.

So i did the MHD test, and i can confirm that a full write is not needed.

A 2 minutes "retry failed flash" is ok.

Start a flash, unplug once it's > 0%, ignition off, ignition on, replug, start the same flash, it should now have the "retry failed flash" 2 minutes options that bring back the car to euro specs without needing a full write.

I was really afraid to have to make a full write, and finally 2 minutes from a retry is OK to get rid of the 2A18 2A13 DMTL codes on EU car.

Got same problem. Did you swaped your DME from US car, or its just error of MHD to write US spec map for EU car? Is there any other solution to avoid this rather than writing a semi-custom map?
