VTT new product release!

Hey Guys!

We cannot overstate how excited we are to release more new products -we have some items that the platform has been in dire need of, and some items that are just a great value. Let's start off with a vid giving an overview:

Billet Breather and Oil Caps:
-Fits all BMW's with 2 prong oil caps -N54, N55, S54, S55, etc.

VTT Cold Side Charge Pipe (available with Turbosmart BOV):
-Chinese charge pipe made just for VTT means great value for the customer
-Genuine Turbosmart BOV comes with orange spring (what we suggest N54 owners use)

PCV Fittings:
-Set your car up the way you want! PCV and Flapper delete only for stock valve cover, all other fittings are compatible with both stock and VTT Aluminum Valve cover.
VTT External PCV Adapter Fitting:

VTT PCV Delete Fitting:

(just for stock valve cover)

VTT PCV Flapper Delete:
(just for stock valve cover)

VTT Billet Check Valve 1/2":
-0.25 psi to open/holds up to 100 psi in reverse direction

Single Turbo Fittings:

VTT Single Turbo Oil/Water Fittings:
-available individually/as needed or as a package price

Any VTA system will have some degree of smell.

I'm interested in the PCV delete fitting but the website is quoting $10 for shipping? Can't it just be shipped first class or flat rate for half that or less?

We understand that setting up a PCV system can be a little more complicated than typical bolt-ons, so we made these diagrams to help make it clear how things are setup:

Shipping costs reflect more than just the postage price, but even a small flat rate box is over $7.

I will add that we are having an issue on the site with multiple small item purchases where the shipping just adds up on each small item. We're going to a new site soon and that issue will get addressed. In the meantime if you want multiple small things, keep the shipping on the most expensive-to-ship item, and choose "local pickup" for all other items and we'll bundle them together. As always, any q's -shoot me an email.

Thanks!
Chris

I have stock turbos, MHD 2+, flex fuel E45 approx 450 hp. Will I get benefit from VTT Billet BMW Crankcase Breather and if so would I need an Upgraded PCV Valve as well?

The breather will just allow you to get rid of some extra crankcase pressure -never a bad idea. Replacing the stock PCV valve is also not a bad idea at all.

Thanks Chris. How much of a problem is crank pressure with this common setup? Why is this pressure bad? Don't they both products release pressure?

Sorry for noob questions.

The stock system was designed for stock boost levels.

Once you turn up the boost (and adding miles doesn't help), you get more blowby.etc and more pressure in the crankcase.

Reducing this crankcase pressure helps the rings seal, oil seals to do their job, and reduces pumping losses in the engine. So it's happier and makes a couple more hp. If you go external (catch cans) on both the high and low side, you'll get the added benefit of not clogging up your intake valves.

The PCV is part of the system but an upgraded PCV valve is an upgrade to the stock type system. You can do that or have a completely external (bypass OEM) system, on both the high (boost) or low (vacuum) side of things. There are many possibilities depending on what you want and what parts you have -that's why the diagrams are helpful.

Based on this alone, I have ordered the Upgraded PCV Valve and VTT Billet BMW Crankcase Breather. I'll do anything to help my poor seals.

hey Chris, how much pressure is needed for the check valve in the oil cap breather setup to open up? I've got one and decided to eat it by blowing on the bottom side and no air is being released through the top. Or maybe im missing something?

Hey Chris,

Could I see the following:

* Oil Cap
* Oil Crankcase filter/breather

Installed in an S55 Engine Bay.

I'm interested to see how these would look/fit and also, in the case of the breather - Hood Clearance.

Cheers!

May need to open 'er up and put a little oil on her. Some of them get stuck in shipping/mfg...

Normally it takes next to nothing to pop it open.

Don't have those pics handy now but we'll put something together with all the other S55 stuff we're working soon!

Tony snapped a couple pics. Not doing a ton to the PCV system on the S55, we'll post more later but here is a few showing the breather. Plenty of clearance.

Chris,

Thanks!

Could I also see what your regular ("VTT Billet") oil cap looks like - w/ the engine cover on.

Cheers!
