I did flash the "Reduced cold startup noise" in MHS Flasher and that made a world of difference so I will do that for now. If anyone designs something to open and close it from the steering wheel, let me know!!
Roger that. Should not be hard to design just bypass the pin(s) with power into a cool switch and run that wire to the front. But yes - someone would have to do that...too much effort for me. But there are savvy people on this board who do this - just have to find them.

Hey guys! My new to me 13' is just got to my dealer from Georgia. So we checked everything out so far the:
- 19" 313m wheels are in great condition just plastidipped
- need to replace rotors
- needs new battery
- needs new rear tires
- engine is clean and factory except cpe charge pipe
- few nicks on paint which will be fixed
- tints will be taken off and put on legal 35%
- inside is excellent condition
- roof is was plastidipped and when taken off the paint is yellowed so will repaint gloss black

I am very happy with it so far! Sounds wicked and coming from a 328xi this is going to be soo much fun especially with the DCT! I knew this car was going to need a little work before I bought it and I got it for a great price with extra cash to make it look perfect! The hard part it just waiting a couple of weeks to get this all done!

Now should I repaint the roof gloss black or repaint it alpine white?

- Yiannis

All four rotors and no pads? Are they under spec? May want to double check the tread depth on the rear tires. You can buy a code scanner that can register the battery for what they'll charge you to do it.

Congrats and welcome to the club. You're going to love it.

I vote to paint it white and also bring the wheels back to two-tone silver/gray.

I would not replace rotors without also replacing pads. You might consider going with aftermarket rotors/pads. There are a few good options. I just picked up a StopTech drilled/slotted kit for all 4 corners.

Congrats. On the repaint...I would first talk to a detailer to determine if he can buff/polish the paint. I would be surprised if it cannot be brought to its original color and shine. Very surprised. The yellow color should be a layer of clearcoat, not the color. Better to avoid repaint jobs unless absolutely necessary.

Thanks guys! Rear tires definitely need to be replaced. We had a professional detailer come and he couldn't take the yellow off so I am going to repaint. The rotors were warped that why we wanted to replace but I am definitely going to have them check pads too and if they need to replace will replace with akebono dustless pads had them on my e90 and loved them! Also I will check on if they will register the battery if not I will have my buddy do it he has the cables to help.

How do you like your MHD compared to the Cobb? Been looking at either Cobb, jb4, or MHD for my "is".

It would be nice to control because I don't always want the flap open.
Highway driving would be one example, or driving in a neighborhood.
The exhaust flap can be quickly switched from always open to normal operation via JB4 dash menu or there are tables available in the XDF to set the flap behavior yourself for flash only.

Good to know if I ever get a JB4 system. Right now running MHD.

The tables for the flap are in the XDF that you can change with Tunerpro and flash with MHD. If you're only running OTS maps though, you're stuck with what they use, which is probably stock.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is "OTS Maps"?

OTS = Off The Shelf, meaning the standard MHD supplied maps. Most people will either have an OTS map, or have a tuner make them a custom map.

+1. If you don't have locked map or you DIY, flap tables can be tweaked for flash-only:

Most guys say leaving the rear stock has proven to give them the fastest track times, so maybe for us the e92/3 or Dinan? I can't imagine Dinans rear making our car worse....that's the kit I have my eye but at $800 it's hard to justify. For drag setup I really can't speak

Hey guys, just recently got my new (to me) 2012 335is, titanium silver with coral red. I've been obsessed with trying to locate a rear 335is badge in black (gloss). Does anyone know where I can find one? I've seen a few people here with them on the back of their cars. I was able to find a pair of side badges in gloss black, but they're bigger than the side badges, but smaller than the trunk badges. Not sure what to do. Any help/advice?

Get ready to take them off and paint them yourself. There are some good youtube videos on how to do it. I've been wanting to do mine in a gunmetal color rather than chrome and replace it with red on the 's' portion.
