I wished you lived in DC :-) after I posted this morning, I hit the road and now have tons of issues... I posed it in this forums, this freaking sucks lol.

There shouldn't be any and I am pretty sure you can get those sorted out. Takes some time but definitively worth it. Will make like you car all over again

It might take some time to debug and fix issues with your vendor but its worth it. You shouldn't live with issues like that.

Its a different JB for the N55..

There is the JB3 - Stage1 and the JB4 - Stage2 for the N55. The harness is completely different then for the N54. The Stage1(JB3) is like installing 4 JB+ as there is no ECU access, just plug it into 4-sensors.

Get used to it, N54 users (myself included) are waiting for them to release the v4 Maps out of Beta, in addition to E85 + Race Gas Maps (Meth is still a mystery).

I'm sure their attention is so divided between the N54, N55 + N20, that no serious progress is being made on any of the platforms.

Edit:
  • Doesn't benefit N55 users, but COBB offers custom tuning for the OTS Maps, thus allowing users to have maps tailored to Meth, Aftermarket Turbos (RBs), Race Gas, E85, etc.
  • It took COBB 4 years (2011) to release the AccessPORT for the N54 (2007), so even if it takes 1/2 the time for COBB to tune the N55, you've still get another year-ish to wait. Sorry

Reply I received from Cobb tuning today

"Unfortunately there is no ETA as when the N55 support will be released. We have a dedicated team of engineers working on this platform as it not a easy task to complete. Thank you for your patience and please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns that I can assist you with."

"Mike,

Currently we are still in the development and testing stage of N55 BMW support. We will hopefully have big news to share then, but until that point I can assure you we are working hard on it! If you have any other questions, please let me know.
