Questions about Swift custom rates rear springs
I am going custom rates and height swift springs for my car..
First question: What rear height adjuster have people here bought for their cars? I am thinking about going with the HP Autosport height adjusters. But I noticed they don?t have notches for the height adjusting tool to grab onto! So how am I meant to turn them with the springs in place? Unless I am expected to remove the rear shocks every time I need to adjust the height : Second question: I noticed that the swift 60mm ID rear springs are flat at the ends. So they won?t sit well in the stock spring mounts. I am uncomfortable installing the springs with no mounts at all, just like that, metal on metal! What have people here done to rectify this? I can?t seem to find any E8X/E9X rear spring mounts that can support aftermarket flat-ended springs sold by any vendor! If there?s one, I?ll be grateful if someone can post a link. Here's a photo for better elaboration on the problem: You can see how the bottom rubber mount is curved, and isn't designed to take a spring with flat bottom or sharp edges. Thanks, Peter.

When I switched over to swift spring I ended up getting a set of these for the rear end.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The fit is semi perfect for the M3 rear arms, the post linked below shows it to works for non M rear arms with a little shaving required. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=955487 |
