Does BMW Diesels come in 6mt?

A friend of mine is looking to get possibly a new 335d but when he builds a BMW on the site, he doesn't have a manual as an option... do they not make them?

Don't think it has been an option yet.

I'm pretty sure that they are available on the European market. At least for the 1.8D and 2.0D I know that that's a fact. I'm not a 100% sure for the 3.0D engines.

In the US, BMW introduced only their fastest diesel engines. This in order to convince the American public that diesels are very fast indeed. This supposedly would help change the image of diesels from slow and polluting to fast whilst environmentally friendly.

yeah you cannot get a 3.0D in 5/6mt IIRC. would be sick; but the thing makes more tq than the m3

In europe the only diesel engine that isn't available as MT is the 335d, all the other models are MT/AT.

I had a 320d with a 6MT for a rental a few weeks ago. I got an average of 61 MPG for two weeks of driving.

not an option. when our car was designed our transmission tunnel was not sized to be able to handle a tranny with that type of torque. they simply don't have one available. apparently the new 3 series F10 has fixed this issue and has been designed to be able to handle a transmission for the 335D engine.
