Taking corners in my M3 is almost more intoxicating then driving fast.

The other reason I bought an M3 instead of another N54 other then haveing really bad luck with that engine. I wanted something different a different feel of power. RAW POWER. That smooth feeling till 8000rpm feels sooo good. The handling is on another level. Crazy level. You cant really get better then ///M suspension. Plus the 335i would take so much money to make it sound and preform and look like an M3. Plus the M3 is history.

I say ///M3.

I said "AN M3" not "MY M3"....
My sussy is obviously better than a 335i.......
Thats why I put AN meaning a stock M3 could out handle a 335i easy.

I won't track my car, nor will I be taking it to a drag strip anytime soon. That being said it is plenty fast for me and handles great. It is a step up from my 335 but that is to be expected as it is a step in price. You are comparing a 70k car to a 55k car, I would hope the more expensive one would out drive the other.

WTF is a radio . . . of any kind? Put an iPod in the center console and cease worrying!

Not all the same. Having had Sirius in the Bimmer, we have XM in my truck and the MDX. Def like the XM stations better. They share about 90%, but the last 10% makes the difference to me.

No doubt an M3, even an e46, could beat a proceeded 335 around some tracks - it would however depend on if the track favored speed or handling. However, I'm with Cody, I don't plan to track either car I'd get. In real world driving conditions, my 335 embarrassed more than a couple e46 M3 owners. Not saying anything here about an e9x M3, and I acknowledge that an M3 will handle better than any 335 without major suspension mods.

Furthermore, the main reason for my post on 335 vs M3 is to gain perspective about how the NA e9x M3 handles the thin mountain air, vs. the FI 335. I didn't have too much trouble with my N54, but it's not an engine I expect to set good reliability records either.

Things are looking good for the M3. I expect to order in a week or so. My last conundrum is M3 or 550xi Msport. I love that TT V8, but I don't think I want something as big as the 5, not yet. Not with an X5 in the garage.

So that wouldn't work for you Jason...you'll be in a different hemisphere.

This just in...Jo is having some people over on Saturday Sept 4th. Guess it's an early b-day party for me. My bro and his fiancé are in town as well. Everyone is welcome to attend. (She says it starts at 5...) Just let me know for a head count.
