You can start by not being so judgmental and assume things when you have no information on another person's life or financial status.

Remember, all of this back and forth started because you and your 328i cry babies couldn't believe that my 335i is quick enough off the line to maybe out pace a rider who may or may not have been trying. My comment was directed towards the OP who was complaining about his 335i, something you guys have no business to comment about if you don't even own one. I never said it was a reliable car, it's not, but I posed the positives to owning one from my experiences since I'm on my second one.

More ? It's ok, you can have my 335i once I'm done with this one. I practically gave my first one away too. Then you can add another relic to fulfill your hoarding habits.

I appreciate these comments. I will think about them, but it’s going to take me a long time to decipher there true meaning. Of course, that’s because I’m so much slower (both mentally and physically) than you.

Other questions I have:
- how long will it take for me to be like you?
- if I want to be like you but bragging makes me feel like a knob, how to proceed?
- how big are your muscles? (You sound strong)

ITT: Someone thinks they're superior because their decade old entry level luxury car is a slightly better model than another decade old entry level luxury car, tries to prove his worth to strangers on the internet, gets butthurt, then leaves.

because they have class.

also, I've found that most wealthy people don't spend huge money on massively depreciating assets, and drive incredibly boring shit like a prius, because it makes more fiscal sense.

or maybe a 330, because it's fun, and still cheap

1) I never said I was rich, I'm not. My wife and I both make good money but we're not rich.

2) Everything I said about my possessions is true and my house will be paid off by summer - that's not even worth mentioning though

3) Here is where I think I should have just stopped with the back and forth, so I apologize for coming off as a pretentious idiot.

In all honesty, I felt attacked when I gave an honest account of two incidents I had with bikes but reading back on my comments, the follow ups were out of line so my bad to all whom I may have offended with the childish come backs. Sorry to the op for derailing the thread.

TBH it was a stupid thread to begin with. Just go back and read any of delmarco's threads. (sorry, not sorry)

I don't hate 335i's and if you like them that's cool. There's a local 2007 335i I always love to see (because it looks just like my 330i - clean, same color, same wheels - just an extra exhaust tip). I just don't give a shit about 500hp or drag racing (on the street anyway). I can get to "give me your license and go to jail" speeds easily without a turbo. I never downshift to pass anyone (unless I really want to make a point).

The E90s I see here are 99.999% 328i's and they often make me want to gag. Yeah, they're so cool with their muffler deletes, blacked out everything and no badge.. I totally don't know your car is bone stock with 180whp. Right? But I feel the same about most of the few 335i's I see too.. I don't discriminate based on WHP.

Most of the people here have a 10+ second reaction time and take take forever to move their right foot from the gas to the brake. I feel like I drive slow (compared to what I did in my 20's), and I could be a half mile down the road before most people have even crossed the intersection - and I still have to push in the clutch and shift, manually *gasp*.

Even if my car was twice as fast, I couldn't drive any faster than I do already..

There's a difference between class and crass.

Clearly the former can't be acquired by wealth... perceived or otherwise.

Well said. Not everyone buys a car for the sheer power potential. I'm very much a best "bang for the buck" kind of guy when it comes to cars and the ability to draw power out of them. It definitely makes me a one-frame-of-mind type of person. I should have a better opinion and a broader perspective when it comes to people's vehicle choices.

When I need a car for the next crash derby at my county fair, I'll call you.

Idk, 230 hp in a car smaller than a jetta is a pretty good amount of power...

I'm of the mindset that faster doesn't equal funner (more fun, I know).

The 325i is rated at 215 and Car and Driver cocked it at 6.1 seconds 0-60. I don't think the 328i is any quicker to 60 MPH. Either car has adequate power for street use if driven well and equipped with a manual transmission. For some reason vpup thought I was insecure about my choice of an N52, yet 8 years into my E90 ownership I opted to buy another N52-powered car, my Z4 Coupe (5.2 to 60 - prob still too slow for vpup). On my daily 80-mile commute (one way) for the past 12 years I've been driving an N52 99% of the time. If that's an indication of insecurity, then I must not sleep very well at night. LOL.

180whp is pretty realistic for a stock 328i with an AT and Xdrive. It really saps the power.

It's rated 230bhp at 6500 I believe?
