Wrapped My Interior Trim
I was on the fence if I would do my interior or not for some time. Then a good deal popped up on a steering wheel, and if I was doing the wheel the stock shifters and wood trim had to go. Contemplated having it cerakoted, then hydro dipped and last I decided to give vinyl a try. It’s cheap so why not. Overall not very hard to do.
I used the Vivid Black stealth small pattern camo off Amazon. I’m extremely happy with the results. Who knew changing the trim color could do so much. The different shades of black really tie in well and it brings out the other colors so much more. If you have vinyl wrapped trim post a pic too. Let’s see em! |

How much vinyl trim did you need, how big of a sheet? How did you do it, with a hairdryer or heat gun? How did you deal with all the air vents corners? Lastly, did you just cut it slightly larger than the shapes, heat it, and press it on??? Thanks.

At first I ordered the smallest amount I could to see if I liked it. Which was a 1'x5' sheet. From there I got a 1.5' x 5' to do the center console and one door trim. Still needed another 1' x 5' to finish it off. I had plenty of extra but needed a long piece to do the last door. Including a vinyl wrapping tool kit it only cost $44 so big deal I had waste. I had never done any wrapping before and I would give myself a 9/10. I used a heat gun but I bet a hair dryer would work. When apply you'll figure out when you need heat. Make relief cuts when necessary. Honestly just google/youtube it and you'll be fine.

I'm still blown away by how cheap it can be to completely change the look of the interior on these cars. Now I want a black headliner and pillars to finish it off.
Vinyl - $36 Steering wheel - $200 Steering whl trim - 120 Nelson paddles - $180 Blue Start button - $9 Total: $545!!! |
